Right, so, initially I didn't read the reviews and just bought it. Once bought I was bored and decided to read the reviews. This obviously got me very cautious and nervous as to what I was going to be stuck with! But I was pleasantly surprised after the doubts. The first couple uses were very smokey and plasticy smelling, but once wore in it was perfectly fine. I even messaged the seller about it and they offered a replacement but I decided to stick with it and keep trying it and now it gets used almost every day! Don't get me wrong, it takes a bit of time to get bubbling but just make sure you boil a kettle first and don't rely on the apparatus to do all the pre work. Frying meats etc is absolutely fine it's literally just the boiling of liquids it takes longer than an average cooker hob but nothing worth moaning about for the price and convenience. Overall very happy and would buy again if needed another.

Great.does the job lick ones on a cooker. Heats up quickly. Easy to clean portable and light. Great if u haven't a cooker or needs spare rings while cooking.

Really nice little hob

At first I was pleased with this product due to the efficient hotplates and, compared to my previous one, a very clear dial. However within 2 months one of the front feet just fell off, despite very gentle treatment of the product, and I have been unable to reattach it. At the moment it is precariously propping it up so at least my frying pan is level. I am still deciding what to do about it. I am sick to death of the shoddy products being inflicted on the public by some manufacturers. I seem to be going through hobs at a rate of knots. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend this product. Update. I have just tried to boil two eggs on the larger hotplate, supposedly the more powerful of the two hotplates. It barely boiled although turned on full. When I placed the pot on the smaller hotplate the results were much better. This would indicate I have two malfunctions within two months. I will bin this and buy something else. Be warned.

Very good

Have used this once so far and even once turned off there’s a tiny stream of smoke coming from somewhere. Possibly bad wiring. Am going to give it a few more tries. UPDATE FROM 2 TO 3 STARS I’ve used it for a month and it’s still going. Difficult to clean but otherwise does the job. For some reason it gets very very hot at 2 and my non sticks, stick! It’s okay as a temporary measure but I would avoid using long term.

Solid piece of kitchen essentials IF you don't have an installed cooker etc. Can be stowed away with ease after use. Heating up is more than acceptable. Functionality two hot plates more than enough. Durability, I have had no problems re this. Ease of use..simple. Cleaning is easy.
