Surprisingly effective
Great case. I love bumper cases but usually don’t bother as they lack protection. This bumper is thicker than most, so screen and back of phone are both protected when phone is flat. The bulkiness could definitely be an issue for some, but I have pretty big hands so it didn’t bother me. Button feel through the case was fine. Overall I stopped using this bumper the day my AppleCare expired, but it served me well.

Great case. Choose this as opposed to upgrading to 17 Pro Max and glad I did.
Great product. It’s actually light. Don’t have a slippery issue. It’s less slippery than the phone without a case for sure. People that say it’s too big are babies. It has a lip thicker than the phone to accommodate the camera bump. It’s great for MagSafe accessories to keep them even more secure. And it gives something to grab with fingers. Trust me. It’s worth the purchase.

Great idea and Happy with the purchase.
I used the Rhino Shield Bumper Case for my last phone (iPhone 8 Plus) for many years and I loved it. It protect the phone without bulky exterior, so I bought the bumper again for my iPhone 15 pro max. It fits tight and I trust the brand based on my last experience. I like the clean look and of the bumper just on the side without back cover, which I think it is unnecessary which only function is trapping the heat.

Slippery, Too Thick, Awkward, Cheap Material
I was really looking forward to this case. I absolutely love the look and feel of the back of the new iPhones. I had a bumper case for my iPhone 4 which I loved . I was hoping to have a similar experience with this one. I was seriously disappointed. First off, you have to put the buttons in yourself. Not a big deal but somewhat annoying. The buttons are okay. Not bad, but nothing special. I also immediately noticed that the material that it is made of is extremely slippery and is actually easier to drop the phone with the bumper Compared to no case. The depth of the bumper towards the back is so big that it also makes it impossible to mount my phone to a car vent mount in landscape mode. The materials that this is made of is extremely cheap and the durability is questionable. For the price of $25 I strongly suggest against this case.

Very slick, will slide and prone to falling.
It's a good case if very minimalist. Your buying this case for the looks, but it still protects very well, why do I know that? Because the case is very slick and it likes to fall, especially when sitting at an angle. I've dropped my phone more because of this case than any other, but every drop is protected and I've had no issues at all.

Nice bumper, can interfere with MagSafe
Overall, I like the grip and feel of this bumper case. Perfect fit and provides the edge protection I was looking for. Only real complaint Is that it can interfere with some MagSafe chargers/batteries.

Closest feel without a case, with protection!
I received it today, these are my first impressions. I'm very careful with my phones, I usually never drop them. I would love to use my iPhone without a case, but as we know they are slippery and more prone to fall from your hands. I usually buy Speck slim cases which are also good, but this may be the best Case/Bumper I've ever used. It fits perfectly, the speakers and USB-C port are perfectly visible. At first, I found it a little bit weird when holding it as it may appear a little bit bulky, but it's due to the edge length to protect the cameras. This is an excellent case if you don't usually drop your phone, and want to have a better grip. I might update the review over time, but the quality seems really good.

As camera bumps get bigger, so too will the RhinoShield Crashguard get thicker
If you want something slim and minimalist, this is not it. Sure, it’s nice to have the back exposed, but it’s a very thick case to compensate for the ever larger camera bump. Which means if you have any wider MagSafe chargers (like some of the 3-in-1 chargers out there), the added thickness will mean that your phone won’t properly magnetize to the charger. I suppose you could get the MagSafe backplate to solve this problem. But then that combo would be pushing over $50, and you have to ask why you even got a bumper case to begin with if you’re just going to turn it into a normal case. The case also adds quite a bit of bulk around the edges. This is to make sure that it has the advertised “11 ft. of drop protection.” But if you really need 11 ft. of drop protection, maybe a case with the back exposed isn’t the best choice for you. The edges are pretty loose out of the box. I’ve had issues with past Rhinoshield cases getting looser over time, and I was hoping this new material they’re using would fix it. And who knows? Maybe it won’t stretch out like before. But out of the box it’s not as tight as I think it should be to begin with. One thing I do love about this case, however, is the added lip on the back makes attaching MagSafe accessories like wallets and batteries much more secure. This case obviously won’t add any magnet strength without any back, but the weakest part of MagSafe accessories anyway is shear (sideways) force, and the bumper certainly helps with that. If your goal is a minimalist case that lets you show off your iPhone in all its glory, don’t buy this case. Get AppleCare+ and call it a day. However if you want a reasonably protective case and don’t really care about the thickness, bulk, and a looser fit than previous RhinoShields; go ahead and get this case.

I get bored easily and like to keep my tech in good condition but also occasionally like to feel the phone itself. This is a great alternative to protective but sometimes chunky cases. I couple it with a skin to stop the bare back of the phone from scratching and it works well.
