Great heater.
I replaced an old Intertherm 1000 watt 240 volt wall heater with a new Cadet CSC102TW 1000 watt 240 volt wall heater (made in the USA) and I’m very impressed with its performance. The volume of heat output is very strong. I used a digital thermometer to monitor the temperature in a bedroom where the unit is installed and found the temperature in the room quickly reached, and the thermostat easily maintained, the desired 70 degrees. The fan is very powerful and fairly quiet. Installation was simple and the instructions (both installation and operating) are easily understood. I would recommend the Cadet CSC102TW wall heater to my friends and plan to buy more.I would offer three possible causes to those buyers that have underperforming Cadet CSC102TW wall heaters: incorrect operating voltage (this model is designed to run on 240 volts), a defective heating element and a defective.

Perfect
After installing it, I tried it out and it emits hot air perfectly, which will come in handy in winter.

Thermostat on unit is junk
Do yourself a favor and when you install this unit, wire it through your own wall thermostat. 1 week after my install, I went into my shop and it was like 80 degrees and the thermostat was set to the off position. I have bought 2 of these, they work great but if the thermostat goes out, it will run constantly!!

cheap
it's small and cheap, probably 100's less than other brands. however, hookup was easy as the existing wires were already in place. the unit puts out plenty of quick heat. no vents to hookup either. this heater was a third the size of the old heater, so I had to do some quick framing and drywall repair. i guess the new heaters don't need to be as big as the old ones...

Compact and powerful - Great heater!
Added this to my basement which is 250 square feet. This is now the toastiest room in the house. The heater is very small and compact and does a great job and making the room very comfortable during the winter months. I bought it because I read other reviews stating it was perfect for 400 sq feet. Very happy with the purchase. Install into the wall was easy for me and I had an electrician install the 240 dedicated line to it. Topped it off with a manual Honeywell thermostat to keep the room temperature nice and consistent. Excellent value and a nice clean looking yet simple design.

Works as advertised
Great heater, instructions are clear and install was easy, turn off breaker..connect ground, on the 240v version both black wires are hot, so very straight forward...Make sure yo order the correct voltage model, comes in two flavors, 120v and 240volt...

Disinformation?
Ya know...I'm willing to accept half the blame for this particular mistake. But in my defense, it could be argued that I was set up. 🤨Case in point... I wanted to install an electric heater in our bathroom. Not a complicated project as far as projects go and have many under my proverbial belt. Went on Amazon and picked out a Cadet heater. This brand, if not this exact unit, is also offered at Home Depot so it's not like it's TOTALLY cheap scrap. At the time that I ordered it, I was still bouncing between mounting it on the wall or possibly the ceiling. Looking at the company's website, and as indicated by the screen shot shown, I could do either with the heater I ordered. Nice to have that apparent option.I ended up installing it in the ceiling. I installed a dual pole thermostat on the wall, set the thermostat on the unit itself to high, and fired it up.About two minutes into running, the over heat protection kicked in, shutting it down. Hummm... THAT'S not a good thing. 🤔Well, when all else fails, read the instructions. 😏Soooo... Contrary to their statement of "ALL" 1500w heaters can be ceiling mounted, the ones with built-in thermostats are "not recommended" to do such. Got me there guys. 😣I will be calling them on Monday to see what we can do about this. Again, I'm willing to accept half the blame, but I'm curious as to what THEY are willing to do. At the same time, I will be inquiring as to exactly what the difference is between the models that have a thermostat or don't. I am a tad concerned that the over heat protection is kicking in. If the only difference between the two is the lack of an internal thermostat (which I can physically remove on THIS one), then that won't really solve the problem. The over heat protection should NOT be engaging. Period. To be continued...
