Monteverde USA #6 JoWo Stainless Steel Nib - Extra Fine Nib

I like Jowo nibs as they are generally very smooth and give few or no problems despite the low price. They are made in Berlin in Germany. I like larger nips so number six is a great size for me and the pens are right with.

This particular JoWo broad nib arrived and performed better than expected. Writes very wet with a nice broad smooth line. All nibs, even within the same manufacturer, are not equal.

90 percent of the time, JOWO nibs are great, out of the box, but every now, and again I've found some that write dry or are a bit scratchy. If you use fountain pens and don't mind a bit of tinkering, which might be suggested by this purchase, I would recommend getting a feeler gauge to gap the tines and a set of micro-mesh sanding pads to hone the tip.

I don’t have a Monteverde pen, I bought this nib for my Nahvalur pen. I am not feeling the stock Nahvalur #6 nib it came with, and had heard very good things about Jowo nibs. Went in easy as can be and I really like the way this one writes! Checked it with a loop before install. Tine spacing was great, and the tip of the nib needed no adjustments. It was basically perfect. And it puts out a smooth and consistent line of ink with little/no pressure on my part. And not scratchy in any direction! 10/10, will 100% but again!

I received a new Monteverde Ritma with a fine nib. Although the nib wrote well I prefer a EF nib so I ordered this and did the swap. Very easy to unscrew the nib and housing and screw this back in. Utilized a standard converter and drew ink it the pen. Outstanding feel while writing and excellent line quality. Loved being able to get the exact right part for my pen instead of having to use another brand.

I thought this was a good nib until it started skipping when writing. Useless.

I ordered an entire fountain pen as shown in all of the pictures but received only a NIB. The product description is totally incorrect when multiple pictures of a complete fountain pen are shown against the item !!

It's smooth enough and is a nice broad size but it's dry as a martini. It skips and hard starts a lot.
