ScotchScotch Painter's Tape 3M Multi-Use Colored Duct Tape Red, 1.88 inches by 60 Yards, 3960-RD, 1 roll

While thinner and more difficult to work with than other duct tape, this worked great for my purposes. Because it was thin, this tape is flexible and works well on surfaces that are not flat. I travel regularly and use this tape to repair duffel bags and other soft luggage on which corners tend to get worn and torn. The tape conforms to the curves and bends (once cut into smaller and narrower pieces) and stays stuck for many trips and much abuse. I put it inside and outside a hole and it works wonders. It also does not roll up or come off if the bag (some if my duffles are large and hold 70+ pounds) is dragged across the carpet, floor or sidewalk. I made the mistake of not checking brands when my last roll ran out (it worked as well at the end as when I bought it in 2013) and the new rolk (Scotch brand) was falling off before I even made it to the airport.

A nice bigf roll of strong tape that is easy to tear off in neat stips but very strong and durable once on its intended place. We used it to mark our household emergency stations, seal boxes, hang tools, repair furniture, fix pipes, hang Christmas lights and more. It is our household all-purpose tool and the most often asked search is "where's the red tape?" This was our 3rd roll and we will buy more. We used ordinary grey and very cheap brand of duct tape to gift homeless street people with a roll each but wow, this is soooooo much better and not a whole lot more expensive for a whole lot more on a roll that we may switch. I hope to find a flat color to give so people can write on it. We have used Black Sharpie on these and that works though so...we might just click buy again, again!

Let's get it out of the way: the 3M 3960-RD Red Tape is fantastic. I've used it for sundry tasks around the house and it has held up well and done what I wanted and it will last for a time, until it won't anymore. Because everything trends to entropy. Red tape isn't special. Nothing is. Some day it will fail, my house will fail, my body will fail. I try to take joy in the now, but the future is always coming, a train of red headed to my heart.

The only issue I had was that whoever delivered it stated it was left near the front door or porch. It wasn't anywhere near the front door or porch, it was in the mailbox which is quite a distance from the house. Not a bad place to put it, but that would have been nice to know so I wasn't walking around in the dark looking for it. Other than that, its exactly what I expected from duct tape.

I like 3M duct tape because it is pliable and the adhesive is very strong. Gorilla Tape is too thick and doesn't wrap around things as form-fitting as 3M tape. It tends to come off due to this. 3M last longer and good luck when you try to remove it.

Exactly what I needed to label bags & totes filled with Christmas decorations. Easy to pull off roll and rip. Stuck to plastic trash bags and plastic totes easily and securely. Bright red color makes it easy to identify items stored in the garage. Would buy again.

This tape so functional but yet festive for holiday use! I wish I had known about this many years ago.
