Unlimited playlists? Yes thank you! (oh and it's a great MP3 player as well)
The battery in my old iPod was finally fizzling out and quickly loosing it's charges. As I searched for a replacement MP3 player I wanted to make sure it allowed for multiple playlists. This item was advertised as allowing for the creation of multiple playlists for your songs. I am happy to report that it is very easy to create and edit multiple playlists. I was also looking to utilize the FM radio to enjoy sports broadcasts when I was out of the house. The FM radio feature is better than I had hoped as it automatically scans for stations and lets you save them as a favorite station. You also have the ability to manually scan up or down one frequency at a time. The Bluetooth setup was quick and easy and sounds great. The file transfer is as simple as advertised. Plug into your PC or laptop and then click and drag the files onto the MP3 player. One note that I hope will help someone with the file transfer. Once you transfer your files you need to "scan" the player to find the files. They don't automatically show up on the player under the music app. In the music app under your profile there is a scan feature. Use the scan feature and choose "all folders". I found that I had a few different sound file types in my collection. If you just click scan it won't find all of the songs as some are relegated to a different folder since they are of a different file extension. All I know is when I scanned all folders it was able to find them. Another thing to watch for is that if you purchased songs from iTunes then those songs are protected. They will transfer but not show up as playable on the MP3 player. You can search the web for a number of easy solutions to that issue (yes I found one and am good to go). I think this is a fantastic value for your money. I don't use most of the apps as I simply want a MP3 player for music. This player comes loaded with various apps that you can simply uninstall and free up memory. The player comes with a tiny SD card that pops into the side of the player to give you tons of memory for your songs, books, pictures, etc. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good MP3 player but not busting the bank in the process. Thank you.

Needs Improvement
Cons: YouTube Music app does NOT come pre-installed on the player and there's no way to install it. You cannot install apps involving Google Play. You cannot install any apps at all. They need to make this clear in the description. So if the music or audio book app you like doesn't come pre-installed, you're out of luck.Another con is you cannot connect to the device via wired ethernet. You must use wifi. For those wanting to limit their emf exposure by using ethernet instead of wifi this is a bummer. Cell phones can connect via ethernet with a simple adapter so I was surprised this player couldn't. Would love them to add this capability.Pros: Works on public wifi. I tried a cheaper mp3 player with wifi and it didn't work on public wifi networks because of their sign in process. When you log in to wifi at home you put in the password and you're done. On public networks there's usually a webpage you must pull up and accept terms and conditions or log in with email to access their wifi. Cheaper mp3 players can't do that. This one can! This is definitely a more capable device than the cheaper $50 mp3 players. They need to make a player like this for adults without all the restrictions this one has. Not everyone is buying this for their kids. Adults want mp3 players for ourselves.

Awesome - It will surprise you
Updated ReviewIn the past year I have purchased three of these G3 MP3 devices. I love them. But what a surprise when I got my third one last week. The interface has been improved with the standard activity software buttons. I also found that the additional 128 gigs of external memory can be merged with the onboard 32 gigs to form one large dedicated integrated memory. As a setup choice the device treats the external memory as if it already came with the device as one indivisible hard drive, so any apps and downloads will flow into the 160 Gigs without being designated. Also, the Moon Reader app is now my go to e-reader. I can hold it in one hand even lying in bed and it scrolls automatically without touching the screen to turn pages. I have thousands of Spotify songs and 973 e-books available to me in my shirt pocket. 5 StarsOriginal Review from last yearI bought the G3 to have a small, handy MP3 player instead of using my 6.5 inch Samsung Galaxy phone for Spotify use. This device has a lot to like, but with some limitations. First noticed that it uses Android 8.1, whereas it is announced as 9. Not a biggie but not fully trustworthy. Multiple music apps are pre-installed making it easy to use right out of the box. As I mentioned, I use Spotify and have 45 gigabytes of downloaded songs and playlist, so I do not need WiFi while I am out and about, The device is solidly built with some heft, pleasant to the touch and candy for the eyes. I have uninstalled several apps that I would never use. On board apps that I do use include, Kindle, Amazon Music, Spotify, Clock, File Manager, Voice Recorder, Libby (for public library downloads), FM Radio, and Chrome (works like a regular web browser but unable to access Play Store). On my regular phone and other devices I use Librera Pro to read my large book collection but that app is unavailable on the G3. This device has Moon Reader Pro installed, a wonderful, wonderful reading app. At 4.5 inches the screen is not to big and not too small. When I unlock the screen with my pin the numbers are easy to touch. Of course it has Bluetooth. It also has a 3.5 audio plug for wired output (some devices no longer have an audio plug). The speakers are functional but tinny. However, with headphones or ear buds, or dedicated console the stereo sound is FANTASTIC. Every musical instrument can be heard clearly with separation from each other. Total memory is 160 gigabytes and expandable. I have been listening to my playlist for several hours a day as I do something else. The G3 is a real game changer, especially at this price.
