Switch to 1 X 11 gearing to increase speed of shifting.
I switched from a 3 X 8 gear shift to a 1 X 11 on my recumbent bike. I can switch gears with just one hand and it is much faster, and simpler. My top end speed is up and I hit 30 mph riding in the Tour de Scottsdale.

60T Sprocket Awesome Upgrade to Wallke X3 Pro E-Bike
I have a 2023 Walke X3 Pro E-Bike. The Stock front sprocket is a 52T. "Upgrading" to a 60T doesn't sound like much of a change, but it really makes a difference. The X3 Pro has an 8 speed derailer, and often feels like it could use an extra gear. Top speed with pedal assist is around 30mph, and at that point, you run out of pedal. The 60T gives enough extra turn on the chain to increse the speed to around 32mph, and I don't feel like I am at the top of the range of the pedals.While totally un-scientific, my son has the exact same bike, and on the same loop with each bike, the consensus was that the 60T sprocket provided a much improve ride experience.Very happy with this purchase, and I would expect similar results for other bikes as well.Oh - change out time...approximately 10 minutes on the X3 Pro. Just remove 5 bolts holding the sprocket on, slide the 52T out, and the 60T on, and re-install the bolts. Super simple. Just need hex head (Allen) wrenches.

Fast Speed for Smaller Wheels
With this giant 60 tooth chainring which is nearly the size of the 16' 305mm rims, I am able cycling over 20 mph with ease on small folding bicycle with 16' 305mm rims which are smaller than Bromton's 349mm rims when compared the small 40 tooth crankset of the original that would struggle to reach 15 mph.For the 52 tooth sizeI needed a positive negative tooth chainring since my other bike’s groupset was a cassette type and the original chainring was designed as a single speed chainring without the narrow wide teeth and caused shifting problems until I installed this chainring and it made the difference plus the red coloring pops on my bike's frame.
