I have an older kitchen aid and had a difficult time finding the correct paddle in local stores. Just what I've been looking for.

I used this twice in my mixer and the coating is now peeling off. Obviously I no longer want to use this because I don’t want to coating to get into my food. Very frustrating, and it’s so difficult to get ahold of the actual seller for a replacement.

I went looking for a stainless steel dough hook after mine had the paint start flaking off, after several years of use. First impression, this thing is heavy. I don't expect it to bend or break. It fit my model perfectly, and clears the bowl just fine, no scraping or hitting. I like the stainless as it's a lot easier to clean up, especially after dealing with a really sticky dough. I fully expect this to last me for years to come.

The paddle is slightly bigger than the original coated paddle that came with my mixer in 1989. I did not want anotehr one with the vinyl, as the peeling concerns me. This item fits the blender and while it is a little louder when it scrapes against the metal bowl, it is not scratching the bowl to indicate it is an incorrect fit. Cleaning is easy with quick hand-wash. I feel this item will last me another 25+ years IF the blender can keep up. I have the original Kitchenaid model, not professional.
