LOBOTom Yum Soup Mix, Spicy, 30 Gram (Pack of 10)

This was so good! We did need to add some red pepper flakes and cayenne to give it that "Thai kick" but other than that the taste is spot on! I was so pleasantly surprised. This will be something I continue to reorder so I can keep it on hand! It truly took 10 minutes and I had a fresh pot of Tom Yum Soup. I recommend adding chicken and bean sprouts or noodles for a super filling, cheap and easy meal!

It look fresh when I open more fresh than in local grocery stores.

It's OK, had it once and then realized it was loaded with MSG. Gave it three stars as some people might be OK with that, but wish they had provided a picture of the back with the ingredients.

I love Tom Yum but I can't always get my hands on a good one. This is so tasty and easy to whip up.

I've always loved this soup in restaurants and was intrigued by the idea of being able to make it at home. I gave this a try and it was delicious, though spicier than the usual restaurant fare. It comes in packets of paste compressed into a thin sheet, and there are detailed instructions about how to get it out of the packet, boiling water appropriately, when to add the paste, etc etc, etc. instead I cut open the packet on three sides so the sheet popped out cleanly, put it in a bowl of water with my protein and veggies, and popped it in the microwave. Amazingly, it worked! The soup itself was absolutely delicious, and makes a pretty big serving (instructions say two cups of water but I think used more than that). Very rich flavor. Try it with pieces of tomato--yeah, I know that's not a traditional ingredient, but a local Vietnamese restaurant serves it that way so I gave it a try. Great combination. So...buy this soup, ignore the instructions, and you won't regret it!

It tastes good with vegetables and a bit of spice.
