Nice product, does it job nicely.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Nice product, does it job nicely. It creates a small hole on the egg that helps to peel the egg as it creates a hallow inside while cooking

Tiny little kitchen gadget that really works !
The media could not be loaded. Wonderful little kitchen tool . It’s a tiny thing but works great . Prick the fat end of your egg before boiling , place in boiling water until the egg or eggs are done to your liking . I plunged the eggs in ice water because I didn’t want them piping hot . The shell peeled off the easiest I’ve ever experienced . I do believe the water has to be boiling all ready for this gadget to do it’s trick. I bought the two pack so I could give my mom one . Easy to clean , I just run under hot water after use . The magnet on the back is a very practical plus , when done I stick it on the fridge , easy to grab & no hunting around for this little thing.

Initial Impression
I have used the egg piercer a couple of times so far. The first time with 3 eggs, one broke the shell when piercing. The next time with 4 eggs, one broke completely and had to be stored for usage later. The other 3 cracked when boiling. I haven't decided if that dozen eggs all had thin, weak shells as they looked different, not broken, but with lines appearing like fractures, or if I had to push too hard to get the eggs pierced. It certainly was not a successful beginning. It is easy to use, but not good if it keeps causing shell breakage. Haven't given up yet. After more usage, we have found that 2/3 of the eggs we pierce crack and break. I am returning it. We have been extra careful, but they break just the same.

Stop fighting with them shells! Get this thingy
This little thing is perfect! Pop the hole in the bottom, boil as usual, cool, then put a little crack in the shell and gently roll it on the counter and the egg comes out without a fight. There is a safety feature so the point isn’t accidentally exposed when not in use and a magnet on the base so you can stick it on the side of the fridge and not lose it in your drawer of misfit kitchen tools.

Saw something like this on a YouTube video.
I watched a product like this used on a YouTube video and I decided to try it. I used it to make a dozen hard boiled eggs. I've tried several things in the past with no real success. I would say that over all this worked well for me. Out of a dozen all but 2 peeled easily. I think the two that gave me a bit of trouble may have been because I didn't puncture it deep enough to get through the membrane? That's just a guess. Anyway I was able to make some nice looking deviled eggs. It works well and it seems well built. I plan on using it again when I make pickled red beet eggs.
