Good blemish free wood
This wood looks very good. It arrived quickly. I am glad BeaverCraft offered this set of smaller lenghts of wood in the 1"x1" size to use for learning carving using tutorials on the LINKER YouTube videos. As a beginner it is good to be able to buy smaller size pieces and smaller combined unit packages of wood without having to buy a lot of stock to learn a new craft.

What can I say? If you know what you are buying then you know what you are getting. If you don't know then you should give it a try. How else would you ever know? These blocks are of good quality.

A little harder than I’d like as a beginner
The wood was a little harder than I’d prefer as a beginner. Decent value for the money though

Great carving blocks
I received this collection and was so excited with the array of sizes. My plan is to do a chess set and the smaller blocks will be perfect. The bass wood is soft and easy to carve and the set includes seven pieces which makes it ok to make learning mistakes. Very happy with the set.

Great for all carvers
I always love beavercraft knives snd the wood is just as great a quality. Smooth with no knots this wood is soft and easy to carve.
