Straps do not hold up the hard top roof of my jeep wangler, i have used it for something else.

It takes some time to install and we had to reinforce the ceiling with crossbars to mount it, but I love that I can take the top off my jeep by myself now! The directions were easy to follow but it definitely takes more than an hour to put up. Holds the top securely. I looked at all kinds of hoists for the hard top and this was a great price and works great!

Good value for money, a few things to consider. This should come with a cleat so you can lock off the halyard, otherwise you risk your expense roof smashing to bits on the floor if you accidentally tug or kick the rope from the locking mechanism. Secondly, the whole load is suspended one one welded screw with an eye, which I’d prefer to see an actual bolt through fastener.

I purchased this with hopes that it would work, and it exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to follow the instructions and set it up. It makes a huge difference now to be able to remove my Jeep top when I want. I did not use the 2 x 6 boards as requested, but simply tied into the ceiling rafters, and it worked perfectly. The rigging makes lifting up and pulling down very easy.. you can’t go wrong with this set up. Just make sure you follow the instructions on the directions of your rafters.

Directions are a bit cryptic, with some thought and experimentation was easy enough to figure out. Once that work was done did what it was supposed to.
