Great Shed. Assembly is Slightly Involved
IMPORTANT!!! Use the Youtube video to assist your assembly. The youtube video isn't mentioned until the LAST PAGE of the instructions. So I would have never seen it. I read another review on here an realized that the video exists. I was halfway through my assembly at that point. The shed is durable and very functional. It is really nice looking as well. Large enough to put a large snowblower or 2 large trashcans. This would also be amazing for storing firewood. It is large and you can wall into it. It has a decent locking mechanism. It won't keep out anybody that's determined to get in it, but it will protect your belongings from a common theft. The assembly is fairly simple with 2 people. I assembled this by myself and there were a few challenging steps for solo assembly. The directions are very clear. They describe the parts well and the screws' pictures are actual size. So you can hold the screws up to the pictures to check. Once you add the video its very clear how to assemble it. You are supposed to hammer a pole into the hold in the door. That was extremely challenging. The square hole was a little misshaped. Causing the pole to not go in without a fight. In retrospect I should have put a lube on the pole to simplify getting it in. The hammering pretty much destroyed my rubber mallet. There was 1 step where you are supposed to slide the metal hinge railing into the slot on the lid. Another when you attach the hinges to the lid. The slot didn't exist. It was filled with plastic. I was stuck on this step for a while because I didn't realize there was a design mistake on the lid. I saw them easily slip it in in the video. I ended up needing to drill holes of my own. A total of 4 of them. It was hollow inside so it was just a matter of drilling out the entrance of the slot. Besides that issue assembly was straight forward. I included pictures of the filled slots that I needed to drill out. During assembly I would use a magnetic wrist band (not included). It holds the screws conveniently while you work. Especially if you're doing a solo assembly and need to hold it while screwing it in. I included a picture of an example of one.

Good quality! Great shed!
The Lifetime Brand horizontal storage shed is a well-made and sturdy product that can withstand outdoor conditions without worry. Whether facing a small or even a moderate storm, this shed holds up impressively. In terms of assembly, it can be a bit complex, but there’s an invaluable YouTube video that guides you through the process. Be sure to check the instructions for the link; it makes the build much easier and is well worth the effort. The size is excellent for various storage needs. It easily accommodates two large trash cans—my town’s trash and recycling bins fit perfectly. If not used for trash, it’s also suitable for storing kids’ bikes, a snowblower, or other outdoor equipment. I have no concerns about water damage when storing items inside, and overall, it functions great. While it does provide a secure storage solution, I don’t have a lock on it, but it does have a means for attaching a padlock. Just keep in mind that, being made of high-quality heavy plastic, it’s not completely theft-proof. If someone is determined to get inside, they might find a way. However, I’m not worried about theft where I live. In summary, this is a fantastic outdoor shed that offers great quality and functionality. Just be prepared to invest some time and effort into assembly, and consider your security needs if theft is a concern. Overall, I have no complaints!

Pricey but very nice
The shed itself is okay, but it is on the pricey side considering what generic brands can get you at this price. You are mostly paying for the brand name here. The shed is meant for trash cans, so it has front doors and a very useful liftable top. The doors and top make it very useful, but they also affect its sturdiness. The shed sways easily if you push it but only while open, maybe the inside could have used a bit more bracing but its overall fine. The main downside of the shed is its assembly. Lifetime was a bit too confident that things would line up perfectly, which made some things a bit difficult to assemble. What gave me the most problems were the doors. The metal brackets that go on the side of the door have to be screwed in at an angle and there were no pilot holes. I did the best I could but didn't notice that the hinges rely on those brackets being perfectly aligned. The hinges still go on but you have to force the screws to go in even though they don't line up from the back. Overall the shed is nice but assembly is a bit tricky and the manual is somewhat confusing. I didn't really have many issues besides the door section, for the doors i recommended screwing in the hinges before the bracket and make sure the two screws line up before installing the other screws. I also recommend getting a drill bit for pilot holes.

Another perfect lifetime product!
I absolutely love this storage shed. It is big, durable, and feels very strong. Assembly was pretty straightforward, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It ended up being the perfect size for large trash cans, exactly like shown in the pictures. The lid is easy to lift with one hand, even when you are holding trash in the other, and it stays open wherever you position it. The front doors open smoothly, and you can latch and lock them securely, which is a huge plus. I live in a rural area where bears are a constant issue, and we do not have trash pickup. I have to drive my trash to the dump, which means I usually have to store it for a bit. Before this, I had no choice but to keep trash inside to keep bears out. This shed has been a total lifesaver. I can now keep my trash outside, easily accessible, and so far the bears have not figured out how to get into it. I am extremely thankful for this product. I love this brand and they have never let me down. If you need something that is strong, easy to open, and easy to put together, this is absolutely it. Highly recommend.

Instructions are awful, basically useless. Doesn’t come with any of the required tools, and the tools it requires are not at all common. There’s no premade holes, it doesn’t line up, and all in all: terrible. We bought this thinking it’d be a fairly simple snap-into-place container. My spouse and I have put together countless pieces of furniture, so we understand what it SHOULD be. Would not recommend to anyone who values their time and money.

Well designed and once built sturdy.. after a months use... its waterproof and holds a cushions for a 5 seater corner patio set... its a little tricky to put together.. read the instructions and made sure you've the piece the right way.. I had to take down and rebuild twice as I had the lid the wrong way.. having written. That it was easy to put together and really well made.. worth the investment if you want to store cushions etc.. it has a solid base and so far no slugs have managed to get in.. we'll worth the money

These are great sheds that look pretty smart (but they're not quite perfect). I have owned 2 of these in Australia and another 4 now i live back in the UK. In Australia we were getting 40+ degree days and these things were getting hammered by the sun constantly but they still look great (only the hinges and catches have faded to grey slightly). Now im back in the UK i bought another 4 and they have lasted perfectly in the rubbish weather. They are slim enough to put in a small space or at the end of a driveway yet they still store all your tools etc or around 15 x big 60L plastic tubs for all your little bits and bobs. The description says the roof is 'Brown' ... This is not correct - it is grey as per photo. Assembly is ok. Ive done them all on my own but some parts are tricky. They are blow moulded so arent dimensionally accurate but close enough. There are some annoying aspects to the build but all in all it is ok and ive found that the divets in the mouldings are ok to pre-drill and still align ok. All of mine you need to use an arm or leg to distort them in order to close the doors properly but that's alright (i think they could improve it though). In terms of weather i havent had any leaks whatsoever and find that insects do not get inside or do not want to get inside. At full price these are still worth the price tag but if you get them on special offer then that's even better. It comes with the drill bills and screwdriver bit so all you need is a socket set for the latch bolts. They do make add-on shelves for these which are expensive (if you can find them!) but ive just been making my own for a bit cheaper out of plywood and batten then just some L shape brackets that slide into the blow moulded inserts on the inside of the moulding (sides and rear - make sure you bracket it well though!). I also bought my house recently and in the surveyors report he recommended this brand. Ive not tried any others but am happy with these so have stuck with them.
