If you want to adjust volume, DO NOT BUY
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Received this today to replace a 3 year old original beats solo headphone cable that the volume adjuster fell apart on.Looks like a quality item, however it has a mind of its own. Sometimes 1 press on volume up and it won't go up at all or will go FULL volume. Same on volume down.Defective from the beginning, never worked.I also pressed both buttons while not plugged in several times to seat the switches, no help.Packaging looked original.Still looking for a good replacement.

BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL
So I was very disappointed when I found out these weren’t actually the Beats cable.I was quickly blown away. The cable is slightly different, in that it’s a slightly different shade than te original cable, there’s no ‘b’ logo stamped on the side (see pic), and the controls are slightly different.HOWEVER, the cable is insanely loud. It worked way better than both official Beats cables I've had over the years. Hopefully it stays that way. (Will update later)

Good enough, but not a perfect replacement
I got these to replace the damaged cord for my Beats Solo3 headphones. The original cord was working ok but the control panel on it was coming apart. The quality is good enough. I think it's possibly louder by default (either that or the controls are better recognized on the original cord and it's "remembering" a lower volume level). They look really similar to the original, and the cord feels like it's decent quality (not too rigid or flimsy). However, the volume buttons cause my computer to "jump" in volume. Vol+ puts my computer (a MacBook Pro) at max volume, and Vol- puts it on mute. Fortunately, I only use these headphones while at my keyboard anyway (the bluetooth crapped out a long time ago), so I can just use the keyboard volume controls. I haven't tried the microphone yet, so maybe I'll edit this review after I get feedback on my voice audio from coworkers on a video chat.

Great sound, but not for long
After I lost my original beats solo cable, I tried a variety of cheap aux cables. (I'm not shelling out 30 bucks for a genuine beats cable when I got my headphones for free) This one was by far the best, really clear sound, great mic .... Until it broke after about 4 months. The front of the mic/volume buttons popped off and wouldn't pop back on properly until one day it fell off and got lost, leaving the exposed wires. I might end up ordering another one if I can't find a cable with as good sound quality, but I'm not going to be happy about it.

Best Cord for under $10, & works like the "factory" cable for my Skullcandy Crushers
I bought this cable as a replacement for my long lost original cable that came with my amazing first gen. Skullcandy Crushers. I haven't tried the microphone on them yet, but the pause/play button & volume buttons work perfectly & it overall works just as well as the original cable without having to pay $25 for a "name brand" cable. It feels well built, and has given my headphones back the sound quality they originally had when I had the original cable. Amazing value for $ & I highly suggest buying one or so for whatever you need them for. It works quite well as an Aux cord as well, but the buttons don't do anything on my older Sony Walkman mp3 player. I keep forgetting to try them on the newer Walkman that I bought in 2012/13. The buttons might work on it. But as far as modern electronics go, I have a Samsung Galaxy A20 and it's able to control the volume & play/pause features on it via Pandora, YouTube, and the Funimation Streaming apps. It's a great cord, buy it. Or don't, whatever. You won't find a better cable/cord for under $10. I paid like $7.49 for mine. This is a real review btw. The grammar & punctuation should be a dead giveaway (not that it's perfect, but it's better by far than the obviously fake reviews on here haha).

Doesn't work properly
I received this cable today to replace the beats cord that I misplaced. I opened right away as I was anxious to get my music back working. Unfortunately, once I placed the cord in my laptop, I can only hear music in one ear. The only way I can get both ears to work is to hold the volume button down as I believe it is coming apart-and who has the time to do that. I guess one star is good for the one ear that works :( SAD

Not fully functional with MacBook Pro
So I bought this as a cheap replacement for my cord, remember kids, you get what you pay for. I do a lot of video calls at work so I need the cord for the Mic feature, which doesn’t work.My first warning should have been “works with Samsung and Apple”, unless this has changed, Apple made it where the controls that hook up on the headphone jack are reversed, so that when you buy accessories you need to buy Apple approved ones because they are set up to accommodate this change. So saying something works with both Android and Apple, one or the other will have features that don’t work. The cord itself works fine, however the only controls that work Is the ‘Play/Pause’ button. Volume control and mic do not work with my 2019 MacBook Pro 13inch.If you just need a cord and no controls then this is a good purchase, but if you want full functionality I say spend the extra $20 and buy from Beats directly.

Great Product
I have Beats Studio3 and I needed a replacement cord and this fits exactly what I am looking for.I did assume that this product was a Beats official product and was disappointed however I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality. The value of the product is really great! I am very satisfied.Pros- Better than the original cord- Feels very durable- Sound quality is perfect- Length is perfectCons- Volume rocker for MacBook Pro doesn't work as desired however just use the keyboard to adjust the sound and it works perfectly
