Best product I have bought in a long time! I thought this was a cute idea but it's almost a necessity once you get used to it. It keeps my coffee the perfect temperature to the last drop! The temperature is adjustable and the readout on the front can have your name show up (you put it in from your app) - also helps with knowing whose cup is whose. I originally bought for my RV but now use it in both my house and for travel. Seems to charge quickly if I have forgotten to place it back on the charger. I am extremely careful to not have the bottom of the cup be wet before setting onto the charger (per manufacturer advice if you want it to last) so be careful of that. I don't find it difficult to wash as I only drink black coffee and tea in it. It has reduced the mugs that we used to use during the day to zero because we each use and then wash our own. What I thought was a definite luxury item has quickly become my necessity. Great product. I hope it lasts a long time.

I was so enthused by my first ember product that I bought three more as gifts. Two of the three had problems after a couple of months. In one of them, one of the two charging base pins broke. The 360 non-spill lid for a travel mug doesn't stay open. These products were not abused. Here are my observations: 1. Do not buy Ember products. They are not worth the high prices. 2. For an item that is so expensive, the quality is shoddy. 3. I found out there is warranty in name only. If you look at other reviews, you'll see it is next to impossible to contact Ember. When I finally got a long-awaited email response, it was to tell me that since my purchases were not directly from ember (Amazon), there was no warranty. 3. There are good knock-offs that won't cost you an arm and a leg, and with reasonable, available replacement parts.

As a "coffee-aholic", the Ember mug has been the perfect solution for keeping my coffee at the ideal temperature for my tastes and enjoyment.

My mom absolutely loves this thing. Best gift she’s gotten. Works great, super cool. Already had to order another 360 lid from embers website cuz can’t find them on amazon as the first one broke but the mug itself is awesome.

I love this Ember heated travel mug, as well as the Eber mug 2, except for the quick failure of the closing feature of the travel mug. I have purchased 2 of the travel mugs because I lost one and also had the cap replaced because of cap failure. Originally, I thought the cap closing function of the travel mug "was brilliant" until they consistently failed, in two to three months. After getting a replacement cap and it soon failed, I came up with the idea to use "a wedge" to keep the lid open. Using the wedge, if a closed lid is desired , it is a bit of a pain to remove the wedge and keep it, but despite that it appears to be the best solution to the lid failure. It is sad about the failed engineering, being a blemish on the otherwise "great product" !!

I love the concept of keeping my coffee warm for a long period of time. But the product doesn’t last, and customer service s terrible. They are very slow and do not back up the product. I have a mug that died and they insisted it was the charger and said it was my fault. So I bought another charger. Didn’t fix the problem. Now I Have the travel mug and the sippy lid no longer works so you have to take the lid off to drink out of it. Have tried to get replacement sine it is under warranty but no response from customer support. I can’t even buy one because the website says “sold Out”. Probably not selling them anymore since they are defective, but if f that’s the case. Should get a refund. But Amazon just refers me to Ember support. Which is awful. No response. Update- I finally got a response but I think this an AI bot. It keeps asking me for information and says it is escalating the claim. For a sippy lid replacement! Still no decision days later. Unbelievable!

This design is a huge downgrade from the original Ember Tumbler. I only bought it because it can charge in the car—not because I liked how it looked—and I regret it. Save your $200 and buy the older version or switch to another brand. 1. The lid is a nightmare to clean. It doesn’t come apart, so grime and gunk gets trapped under the mechanism with no way to reach it. Even with a tiny brush, it was impossible to clean properly. I eventually discovered old coffee buildup hidden inside—so I’ve basically been drinking mold for months without knowing. When I realized this, I stopped using the mug! 2. The lid broke in under five months. The clip stopped working, it won’t stay up or down, and the entire thing became unusable far too quickly.

However, the elephant in the room is the $249.99 price tag (at the time of ordering). Price/value is always subjective, so I am not going to dwell on this. I love coffee and the idea of maintaining a constant temperature, is appealing. I can only think of a couple of scenarios that this would be required, and most of the scenarios are not pressing. With that said, I would like to discuss what I like/love about this mug. The look and feel of this mug is modern and sleek. The matte black finish really compliments the modern technology found within. The LED interface is really cool and I like that it displays your temperature (current) and you can change the temperature, up and down using touch based controls. The menu is accessed through touching the "EMBER" logo on the side. This makes it easy to access the menu, but also really easy to change the temperature unwittingly. This is addressable in the APP under 'Temperature Lock', activating this feature prevents the touch display changing the temperature. I like the listed battery life and the personalized message you can set in the APP. Both displayed in legible LED dots. The mug pairs with the Ember APP found in the APP stores (IOS and ANDROID) I use Android and the download was quick and you need to create an account for the APP. The APP allows you to pair other Ember devices, should you have them. I like this. The APP also allows you to set the temperature, change between ℃ and ℉ as the unit of measurement, personalize the mug (I LOVE THIS), and access pre-sets for different temperatures for various drinks. The APP is slow at the beginning, it does not register touches after buttons are pressed. I can only assume it is processing the request with the mug?? At any rate, be patient. The charging plate is handy, it makes the mug easy to recharge. It does not make this overly portable. I feel that the battery life will address this issue. If the battery is long lasting, then we are not going to have an issue. The mug has been using the initial charge and I have not used the charging plate since using it the first charge. The battery life is impressive, especially when you turn off the mug when not required. The only design issue I have with the mug is the lid. It is plastic and it has a spring loaded plunger as the lock. If it were not plastic, and it was something a little more durable, it would add to the value of the mug, from my perspective. I am hoping that these lids are provided by the company, if it fails or stops performing. All in all, this is a very technology rich mug and it makes my inner geek smile ear-to-ear. I love the concept of this mug and I like that it works really well. The size is perfect for Americano coffees and it keeps the coffee at optimal drinking temperature. I would like to see how this performs in the colder weather. The outer shell is slick, exercise caution while holding it. I do not think it would like being dropped. I LOVE the personalization. My concern is if this mug is locked to my account, can it be paired to another phone? If the mug is lost and someone finds it, can they used it? If it locks to the account, that is a feature that protects the users from theft. Recommended to the coffee enthusiasts who demand only the most optimal temperature to drink their coffee. This recommendation omits price point and value (both subjective) and basis this recommendation on quality, modern design, tech rich application, use cases, ability to keep hot coffee hot (not intended to warm beverages - outside the scope of the mug), ease of use and aftercare is not difficult. Excellent product, with only minor improvements required in the APP. In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

This looks good. I really liked the LEDs and the personalisation But the battery doesn’t last long Plus drinking from the lid wasn’t a good as from the mug . Plus the mug is 250, this was 650 And I found an AED 60 lid did the job of making the mug transportable. I just couldn’t justify the x 2.5 times price… Returned…

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I have bought many Ember products for my family and friends, have loved them all. I splurged on the travel mug, and 6 months in to the warranty, the O-ring in the 360 sealed cover, had deteriorated. I started conversing with their customer serviced while I still had 6 months of warranty, they originally sent me the wrong replacement cover. When I tried to rectify that, and told them it was the 360 cover that was faulty, they informed me there was only a one time replacement, and they would not be replacing it. After numerous emails back and forth I was informed the cover is out of stock. I should have contacted Amazon customer service then, but I gave Ember the benefit of the doubt and they have put me off until this month, with absolutely no satisfaction. Buyer beware, it is a very expensive luxury item if it only has a life span of 6 months. Contacted Amazon today, they insist they can do nothing because of the expired warranty, I am VERY disappointed to say the least. Can not in good conscience recommend them any longer.

Initially, I had some doubts about spending so much money on a coffee mug. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality and finish of the mug. It is very well-built. The digital display and touch controls are absolutely beautiful. They have a stunning appearance and when the mug is not in use, they disappear and then reappear magically. After conducting some tests, I can confirm that the mug works really well. One morning, I made three coffees. I put one in the ember mug, another in my usual travel mug that I received from a vendor at work four years ago, and I drank the third one. At around 7:00 am, both the ember mug and the travel mug were at approximately 57°C. I set the ember mug to 55°C and started my day. Just to clarify, I use Celsius and I don't know the Fahrenheit conversions, so I didn't bother looking them up. Moving on... around 9:00 am (two hours later), the travel mug was at 50.3°C and the ember mug was at 54.3°C. They were pretty close, but the ember mug definitely retained the temperature better than a regular travel mug. I checked again at 10:00 am, but I forgot to take photos. However, the ember mug was still at 54.5°C and the green mug had dropped to 46.5°C. At this point, the battery in the ember mug was almost completely depleted, so it didn't quite live up to the promised three-hour duration. Thirty minutes later, I checked one last time. The green mug was at 42.7°C and the ember mug was at 43.8°C. Without power, the ember mug has no insulative properties at all. It relies solely on the heat coil inside to keep your beverage warm. On the positive side, when the ember mug is in use, it feels wonderfully warm in your hands. I can imagine loving this feature during winter or at outdoor events. It's the best hand warmer ever. Overall, this ember mug is of very high quality and delivers exactly what it promises, no more and no less. It didn't completely blow my mind, but it performed exceptionally well. I was a bit disappointed that the car cup holder charger, which the ad implies is included, actually needs to be purchased separately. Having that car charger would greatly enhance the capabilities of this mug!
