PS5 Disc Drive

I purchased the PS5 Disc Drive to complement my PS5 Digital Edition, and it has proven to be a thoroughly worthwhile investment. From the outset, the installation process was quick and intuitive, with the drive integrating seamlessly into the console and requiring minimal setup. In everyday use, performance has been excellent. Physical game discs install and run smoothly, with no noticeable difference in load times compared to digital titles. The ability to use physical media again adds significant flexibility, particularly for boxed games, second-hand purchases, and film playback. Blu-ray and DVD performance has been reliable, with clear picture quality and consistent operation. The build quality is in keeping with Sony’s usual standards. The disc drive feels robust, aligns perfectly with the console’s design, and looks like a natural extension rather than an add-on. Operational noise is minimal and never distracting during normal gameplay or media use. Overall, the PS5 Disc Drive delivers precisely what it promises. Excellent addition if you have the slim digital version. You can buy cheaper discs rather than using Sony's library. Very easy to install and set up, done in minutes. Don't hesitate to buy if you are thinking about it. Works out cheaper than buying the original ps5 disc version.

Works fine and it was easy to install

A great disc drive, with a physical eject button (the original PS5 with disc drive didn't have a button). It does work with the PS5 Pro- not clearly labelled as such so I thought I'd clarify.

Performs as expected. Good value, seen them in CEX second hand and more expensive!

As described, a lot quieter than the one in my original ps5 that I sold for the ps5 pro. No issues, essentially brought so I dont have to buy a separate blurry players

Easy to just put on disc drive on console one min it was digital next min was disc drive on it great purchase. Now can play old ps4 games

Very easy to set it up to your console. It’s literally not more than 5 mins. On Youtube you can see videos if you have questions about the installation. Great product.
