I installed this camera a week ago. The install was straightforward and video is quite clear using the app. I haven’t downloaded video onto a computer but I can imagine it more clear. I think this is worth the $120 of insurance. There are a lot of hit and run accidents in my area, including two that happened to me.

Fairly easy to install & hook up but time-consuming to connect & access internet. Instructions are hard to follow & YouTube wasn’t much help either. Took me 2 afternoons but finally connected. User instructions on how to operate are non-existent. Basically have to figure out how to use it & retrieve recordings on your own. Also have to remember to turn it off when you leave your vehicle for a lengthy time.

I’ve had it for a few months now and the mounting was easy for both camera. Does a great job with the videos especially at night. I am happy with it and I think it’s worth it.

Video quality is great. Good to know I have backup proof in case of any accidents while driving

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: Main camera stopped working. It only shows the splash screen (Kawa Logo), and nothing else. Not even the menu. You still can connect to the app, but there's no image from the camera. Video files can't be opened either (and they weight abot 20 mb instead of the usual 140mbGreat product so far. The app needs a little polishing, eg: It doesn't work if you have an active internet connection (like mobile network enabled), you have to turn on Airplane mode and enable only the wifi, in order to connect to the dashcam.The cable that connects the main camera to the rear one is very delicate and gets easily damaged. had to order another one from another company, because the original one broke during installation.

*** UPDATE***Since I wrote the original review my car had been totaled in an accident. The camera was removed for reinstallation into my new car, however the mounting bracket did not survive. So I have been trying without success since then to acquire a new mounting bracket for the D8 Camera. They sent me an email with some sort of link you have to go to in order to get the part, but they never showed the part, the part number or anything. They simply show I have to pay for a link. Such nonsense. I still need the part, but since I cannot get a straight answer from KAWA I am going to manufacture one of my own. Can't be that hard. On a positive the note, the video from the accident proved I was not responsible and sped up the insurance claim drastically.Camera installed with no problem except the "antistatic" film which I fail to see the reason for it to be used. Secondly it fell off within minutes of being mounted to the glass despite cleaning the glass with alcohol swabs. Gave up on the film and just mounted the cameras. Seems to work ok. Instructions could be more detailed but at least they are in english as well as other languages. UPDATE: This camera was in my car when it was demolished on a highway. The camera survived without a scratch and provided all the necessary documentation for the insurance companies to determine I was not at fault. The only problem was when the camera was removed from the car when they were towing it to salvage the mounting bracket for the front camera was left behind mounted high up behind the regular rear view mirror. I am having a difficult time located a replacement mounting bracket for the camera and the KAWA website is useless for obtaining it. Their "CHAT" is nothing more than a message box that theoretically will get to them at some time. NO real time support. They also do not list any ancillary parts for their cameras which do get broken and need replacement. My recommendation to KAWA is to list a parts replacement section with every part these cameras have so the consumer may find what they need when they need it. Otherwise this camera performed flawlessly and worth every single penny I paid for it with outstanding quality imagery. Highly recommend this camera. Support is the issue.

I absolutely love this dash cam my only complaint is it doesn’t stay on when your car is off
