I have tried numerous hair dyes now to try go ginger and none seem to work until I tried this one. My hair was like a dark blonde when I put this on but it still got my hair a very vibrant colour, looked quite similar to the colour on the box. It has lasted quite well too, it does need dying again so it is not as bright now as it was when I first dyed it. This hair dye is also very easy to use and you do not have to leave it on that long to get this beautiful colour, I am sure it was only about 30 minutes. The instructions were very easy to understand and the conditioner that came with it made my hair very soft. It also came exactly when it was supposed to come. To anyone who is like I was, desperate to go ginger, I could not recommend this product enough. It has not damaged my hair either which is good as my hair has been dyed alot so I didn’t want anything that would damage it. The price of it on here is quite good too as this hair dye is normally expensive anyway but I can see why, because it is absolutely amazing! My hair was not patchy either when I dyed it and I am far from a hairdresser so definitely not a professional when it comes to dying hair. Some hair dyes also have a horrible smell to them, I have smelt some very horrible hair dyes but this one actually has a beautiful smell to it. As I said, my hair does need dying again so it was a lot brighter than this.

It’s the best red I’ve gotten from permanent dye, it’s so bright and looks amazing. However, the dye smelled so strong that my eyes water at times. Very, very strong ammonia smell, so if you’re sensitive or hate the smell I’d avoid. Another downside, is it’s staining everything after it has dried. I expect staining when my hair is wet, but I’ve never had it stain my clothes and hands when it’s dry. I rinsed it really well too. I’m hoping it stops after a wash. I’ll report back when I redye (in 2 months), and will say how much it fades and how many washes it took for it to stop staining everything. Edit: It took a few washes to stop the staining. It’s the only downside to this dye. The colour is beautiful, it lasts well on non-damaged hair (I have to use semi permanent red over previously bleached hair to top the colour up so it matches the rest). The staining when it’s dry for the week or 2 after dyeing is a pain. I can’t wear any light tops as the neck/shoulders will turn red from my hair and I have to not touch my hair at all otherwise it stains my hands. It’s a nightmare.

Well what can I say it does what it says on the box and at a affordable price So easy to use too Love the way my hair shines afterwards and a nice smell I have trued many brands but this is the one I prefer I have had this brand before but what with a busy lifestyle I forgot to write a review before Ordered some more today after just opening and using my last box

My hair is salt and pepper- about 45% grey and a natural level 7. It was highlighted about a year ago and since then I’ve used a level 8 ash blonde box dye colour to cover the roots but this left my hair very yellow. The grey/white hair I have is patchy and I wanted to blend this further and minimise the yellow tones so I choose the preference platinum blonde level 11 to see how it might look. Product was very easy to use and not messy at all. I concentrated the coverage on my grey/level 7 roots and brought the rest of the mixture through to the length of the hair, rinsing after 45 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised by the results to be honest. The root coverage is perfect, it lifted beautifully without any orange tones, blending nicely with the grey to a multi tonal look. I’m not a hairdresser but I do know that the developer in a box dye will lift virgin hair. I’d say my roots are now level 9/10 with the grey being 10+ This has saved me a lot of money as my highlights usually cost around £70 for a half head, I just wish I’d discovered this dye 2 years ago as I would’ve saved me a packet. Anyway, I’m a happy bunny now as my hair looks and feels great! Hope this helps anyone like me who is on the rollercoaster transition to the dreaded grey!

My hair was very light grey almost white in places, thought I would try this just to add some colour, only on 20mins and my hair to a very dark grey(charcoal) much darker than I wanted. Plus side it gives a lovely shine and would say it has conditioned my hair. Into my 3rd week with copious amounts of washing to try and fade but still as bright and dark as the day I dyed it. Also as a slight purple tinge to it.
