Excellent Purchase on Sale Price
I got it on sale was $51 total. For that price it's definitely worth it. The reel feels really smooth and sturdy. The rod was fine and has a nice sensitivity. I used the line it came with and it works just fine, not the best line in the world but gets the job done. The tip of the rod is the weak point of everything it feels cheap, but it is cheap lol. Landed 2 decent sized crappie with 0 issues. ✌️ Who knows how long the rod will hold up but you can always put the reel on a better pole.

Portability is nice but green line is thin in my opinion
I like this product portability but the line is very thin so when I went phishing the line broke very easy and I lost a few of my bait things.I think I can solve it by buying some heavy duty line.

Great entry setup
The media could not be loaded. Great pole. Bought it as a spare pole that folks can use when they tag along or to throw into a back pack when hiking or back packing. It never made it that far my daughter ended up claiming it and loved it. She caught her first fish on it a 5 lb 3 oz bass. it performed amazingly I will be buying another when I can for my backpack. build quality is solid in my opinion and is easy to break down. The reel is smooth and my 9 year old can cast out amazingly on it. Time will tell but I feel this will be in my kit for a long time. The rod feels like a high medium but the flex was amazing.

Piece of Gaarbage
Bought two of these poles for my grandchildren for Christmas. The whole idea was that they were transportable and came with a very nice carrying case. We could use them whenever and wherever. Well they came to visit us at shore this past summer and they brought their poles and we put them together. I was very pleased with the assembly process and the quality of the reel. Well it turned out to be a very windy week and we never were able to go fishing over by the bay. Well now the problem…..we cannot take the poles apart no matter how hard we try and other family members have even tried. We tried so hard that we broke one of the eyes and still no luck. Both rods were impossible to break down. We tried every idea on the internet including Sougayilangs suggestion which was also on the internet. I suppose other people have had the same problem with their poles. Nothing but nothing will break these poles down. The worst part of this whole deal is the company that supposed to have such great customer service has never ever returned one of my emails and there have been several and a phone number is impossible to find. I might add that these poles have never even touched water they are new never used. If you are thinking about purchasing fishing poles I would think twice about buying Sougayilang. There is no customer service regardless of what they say. I am one very very disappointed customer.

Good Product with a few Minor Flaws
Good rod and good reel. I’ve used it for about a year now and only one complaint:The reel is too big for the rod. The guides on the rod are a little bigger than you’d see on a casting rod but too small for what looks to be around a 2500 series reel. When you use it, you get a decent amount of line slap while bringing the bait in. I put a smaller cheap shakespear reel on it and it works pretty well but this rod would also work well for a baitcaster. It’s about a medium weight and medium-fast action which makes it a good all around rod.If the kit came with a smaller spinning reel or baitcaster, or the guides on the rod were larger my review would be higher. But the components individually are good beginner level components.
