Another excellent product from KEEMAKE. I own their bread knife and was pretty impressed with the craftsmanship. I bought the carving knife subsequently. My first test was carving a turkey breast. The blade was extremely sharp and was able to cut very thin slices from the turkey. While carving the turkey, I had noticed it was shaving bone. A testament to how sharp this knife is. The Damascus is art. The handle appears to be rosewood and feels very comfortable in the hand. The pommel adds to the overall look of this knife with a makers mark stamped on it.

I love that KEEMAKE has their knives available as individual knives versus a set that has a bunch of stuff that I don't need. I'm no expert on steel quality but I have been using this knife and the others that I ordered daily and they have remained sharp. I have not sharpened them yet but I expect that that they will tune up nicely once needed. I bought this and the other knives all in the same style which has an etching on the blade that is reminiscent of a damascus steel (note that they are not, nor do they claim to be damascus-steel). The dark wood handles are such a joy to hold onto even with wet hands. They all have a nice balanced weight and appear to be very well crafted. I have been looking for new knives for a while now and these delivered on quality and price. Keep in mind that the wood handles are real and should not be put in the dishwasher nor should they sit in water for any length of time.

These knives are great. Have a couple more but wanted another small knife. Very sharp and cut well.

This was a gift for my husband and he loves it! Super sharp. After one deer, the blade did seem to become a little dull. Once sharpened, it was right back to brand new. The quality and flexibility of this knife allowed him to make perfect cuts without wasting meat.
