Great sugar free option
My mother used to bring home a large box of salt, water taffy from a very well-known company. She’s 88 now and I found this taffy that sugar-free. It’s very soft and has a fabulous flavor. Only drawback would be that during transportation. It’s hard to get the paper off of the product.

Great flavor, sticky
These are great, they (to me) have a bit of a vanilla flavor to them. And if I can give a tip, freeze them and pull them out a few at a time. They are very sticky otherwise an stick to the wax paper packaging.

Worst wrappers I've ever seen; tastes fine if you can find an edible piece in the bag
Many of the pieces are inedible because the wrappers were so poorly selected, they're like a wad of chewing gum rolled up in newspaper. Literally right now I'm trying to use my tongue to get inked paper off the roof of my mouth. They did use a wax paper that could in theory work, but it's so cheap and flimsy that the candy oozes out of its wrapper at room temperature. They're literally in the bag fused together. I tried putting them in the fridge to slow this down, but that just made them somehow hard and stick at the same time. Not only that, but getting it a little cold seems to crystalize something in the candy so there's basically little bits of micro sugar glass in there. Like you're biting into a hard gum, then hit hollow space, then you touch something jagged. Oh, and if you get it on anything, get ready for a mess. It's like chewing gum that gets hard AND sticks to things. I tried picking the bits that had paper stuck to it off onto a plate, but I wish I had just thrown it away. After an hour or so, the half-dozen sticky shards of taffy took some effort to clean off the plate. The most uncomfortable food experience I've had in some time. What were they thinking? It's a disaster at a premium price.

Great taste - messy unwrap
Love the taste. Usually sugar free means sickly sweet but the tart strawberry offsets it with this candy. I do wish there was a better way to wrap them. During shipping they melt a bit and leak all over each other making a sticky mess when opening the wrapper to eat one. By keeping them in the fridge and taking out only those I want to eat I can minimize the mess. Little pieces still get stuck to the floor or my desk if I don't pay close attention while unwrapping them.

Very sticky
Sticky and difficult to unwrap. I even tried freezing them, and still had trouble. On many (most?) of them, the candy is outside the wrapper and just getting the wrapper off leaves your fingers SO sticky. They taste fine with a strong but not overwhelming peppermint flavor. Don't eat more than 1-3 per day, or your intestines will cause you regret.

Double edge sword- good taste - bad digestion!!
I can’t give these a 1 due to the taste and texture as they are pretty good for sugarless. However if u eat more than a couple of these in a 4-5 hour period you will know it pretty fast …eating say 4-5-6-7 of these in an 6-8 hr period … well if you could plug yourself into your propane furnace you’d heat your home all day😂😂 Some crazy fermentation happens resulting in record breaking results where even cows would be amazed😂

So Creamy and Light, They're Like Eating Yummy Clouds
I'm on a restricted diet for gastro intestinal issues but am also a grazer and a picker. Sugar is one of the Big No Nos but I have a sweet tooth. Doesn't take much to satisfy it, just a SF cookie here or a piece of SF gum there. I LOVE Salt Water Taffy, especially when it's been stored in the freezer, and these little Vanilla bites are just perfect to satisfy that little obsession when the mood strikes me. My husband, who can detect the chemical sugar substitutes as soon as he smells 'em, loves these nuggets as well and I've never told him they're SF. They're so creamy and the sweet is not over the top so I won't spill their secret to him. 😊 Ya get a goodly amount for your dime, too. Because of the dietary limitations, I have a few, "Must Haves," and these will be among them. I'd recommend being stingy with them if you have kids because once the kids find where they're hidden, they won't last for long and the kids will be running for the loo. Moderation in all things and this is one SF treat you don't want to over-indulge in. But it'll be a challenge not to. VERY well worth the investment AND the little sin-free pleasure.

The quality of the product and it's packaging is atrocious, it arrived melted and swampy and is inedible. And unless I pay more than the original value, I cannot to return it I cannot get a refund. Do not buy.
