Perfect for FISHING
•Warmth:This jacket is perfect for “layering”. Meaning, if you’re in snow or really cold temps and want to just wear “just” the jacket you will be cold. But I’ve worn it on a boat in the 40 degree cold going 65+ mph (felt like 2 degrees) and no wind or rain gets in it. I fish with a hoodie and this jacket over and I am incredibly warm.•Water proof/wind proof:Wind proof was one of the biggest reasons I needed this jacket and it’s 100% both water and wind proof. I’ve been in downpour with no cover and my body stayed dry. Winds on a boat did not get in at all.•Hood:The hood has GREAT draw strings around the face area as well as the standard draw string location. This is HUGE when your going 60mph on the water in the cold so it hugs the sides of your face. The jacket zipper goes high enough to give you a mouth covering which I love to keep that freezing wind off your mouth and neck in high winds.•Waist/ Wrist:The waist/wrist have a NICE draw string (waist) and Velcro system (wrists) so wind doesn’t go in the jacket and keeps the warm in.•Thickness:It’s plenty thick, I would say the equivalent to the thickness of jeans then you add the fleece layer and it’s definitely a good jacket. I think when you read the reviews saying it’s thin is because people are expecting a snow jacket. But if you wear a sweater or hoodie with this over it, you will be warm I’d say in temps of 35-40ish depending on if you tighten all the draw strings to insulate. Now if you want to go below the 35 range I’d either get a different jacket or wear thermal layer and a cold weather hoodie with this over it.•Size:I’m 5’10 245lbs chubby and a 2xl fits perfect “if” you are layering with a hoodie or sweater. If you want a sleek fit or if you wear thermals not a bulky sweater I’d go with an XL. This will make the sleeves and body fit tighter to the body.So far I’m happy with this jacket. I will update in a couple of months of fishing with it on to let you know how it holds up. If the 5 star is still up that means I still have no issues.

Great Men's Jacket
1/21/25: I purchased this jacket for my boyfriend. It's got zippered compartments everywhere. He's had it for a while and discovering different compartments to put things. He has worn this jacket during the coldest days that we'd had recently and says even though the jacket is light weight, it's very comfortable and warm. It's not bulky at all and easy to wear while driving, also. Glad I made this purchase. Thank you to the makers of this jacket and also to Amazon for making it available for a reasonable price.

Not really undersized, pocket wasn't sewn right, decent quality for the cost
Nice, well designed and mostly put together 'tactical' coat. Need to test how water repellant/resistant it is, but it's warm. Ordered 2XL given numerous mentions in reviews of it being undersized... it's about spot on sizing wise, but if you need to layer under it then going up a size is fine. One issue - one of the pockets (right upper arm) was not sewn shut at the bottom; I fixed it myself without issue, but other reviews have mentioned this as a miss so food for thought. Wish the arm and upper-side pockets had more sewn in compartments and loops to hold stuff.

Form Fit Function And Price Meet My Needs For A Tactical Jacket.
Just received it. Packaged well. Seams look solid. Shell and lining look solid. Construction seems solid. Fit is good. Zipper is secure. Pockets appear solid. Waist and hood draw strings are functional and cuff gathers work as they should. Got mine in olive drab. Went by the sizing guide and got an XL. Fits properly. I will use this at outdoor all-weather tactical shooting events where weather is random. I am in the American north east. Saw some questions about why the double zipper travelers, and why the front pockets are so high and in front, and why is the hood oversized. This jacket is meant to be tactical. If you are wearing anything around your waist - like an equipment duty belt - hand pockets at waist level will make the waist of the jacket - over the duty belt - be way oversized. Also, the double zipper travelers help with accessing your duty belt from the bottom of the zipper rather than unzipping from the top and letting the weather in. Also, the hood is oversized to fit headgear like ear protection and a hat, etc. This jacket seems to fit my needs. I will update this review after wearing it at an event. So far, I am happy with the fit, function and price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a garment to meet similar needs.

What a letdown.
My true rating is 3 1/2 stars. There are things that I like but more that I don’t like. Let’s start with the zipper, I’m not sure why but for some reason there are 2 zippers on this coat. Both have to be engaged for the zipper to work properly. Once it is zipped it does form a water tight seal though. The fit is good I am 6ft 270lbs and xxl fit perfectly. The material itself feels ok although it seems like it was just thrown together without much thought or care for quality. There are strands of string hanging from everywhere. I wore it out for a walk in windy 27* temps. It did block the wind pretty well it failed with the cold. The hood is just awkward, unless you have a very large and oddly shaped head the hood doesn’t fit if it’s just pulled on. The adjustment straps work very well and can get a snug fit. I also like the visor on the hood. The biggest fail in my opinion are the pockets. The main pockets are set way up on the rib cage which is just weird. They are also kind of small. I do like the stitched in key ring though. The arm pockets are big enough for the average cell phone or passport. That’s all there is for pockets. The 2 huge flaps inside the coat that look like pockets actually are not. I don’t know what the purpose of them are. I do like the large back pocket albeit a bit difficult to access. Overall I think for the price point there are better options than this coat.
