Bought for use with my newly built 8th gen. Core i7 PC and for the price it can't be beaten. I tried to use the included copy of PowerDVD 14 but even after changing the language to English menus were still popping up in Japanese so I bought PowerDVD 17 in the new year sale and it works great.Despite my machine having an Nvidia Geforce GTX1080Ti installed, which does not support the features required for UHD playback, I was able to switch the HDMI cable over to the onboard video and change the BIOS setting to use this first. A simple cable swap and reboot is all that is needed now for watching a UHD Blu-ray.Runing the Cyberlink Ultra HD Blu-ray Advisor is a must before buying, it will identify any problems or settings that need to be changed. Make sure Intel graphics drivers are up to date too when running it.

Excellent product. Had some initial problems p;ayimg UHD discs but soon sorted out with the help of CyberLink (Who make the PowerDVD software required to play UHD discs). Manual is on;y available in Japanese which can be a little frustrating

I needed a device with which to write blu-ray 4k and I found this bluray writer that together with Cyberlink Power Director 16 does a really good job. I'm very pleased with it.

I have one of the fastest native UltraHD 4k laptops a lot of money can buy. It runs UltraHD 4k online video services or UltraHD 4k video files with no problems at all. This product does not work. I have contacted the company a number of times about this and get no response.
