I've been using one of these in my favorite pen for over a year now. It's been a great, almost daily go-to and has rarely disappointed me. The ink is a clean black color that writes smoothly and dries quickly. I've noticed as the cartridge has been used more that the roller ball wears out a bit and can occasionally interrupt inkflow. The overall volume of the ink is just fine, but the roller ball has worn out before the cartridge has emptied, which is why I give 4 stars instead of 5. I've already purchased refills because I love the ink despite that one small shortcoming.

I have a nice older pen that is maybe 20 years old and uses these refills. Think this is only my second time replacing and the refills just work smooth as silk.

Not wanting to toss an older, albeit favorite pen, I search for these refills at the Walmart & Office Depot brick and mortar; but found that neither store carried them in stock...thought they were a common refill...so I came to Amazon. I received these Schneider Topball 850 Black 0.5 mm Rollerball Refills the next day with my Prime account and they were a perfect replacement. Now my favorite pen has come out of the darkness of back of the desk drawer and once again put to good use.

Loved the pen I've had for years and couldn't find refill. Found it on Amazon and am pleased to be able to replace old cartridge and keep the pen.
