Never had an electric grinder, always by hand. This one works great not too noisy. Easy to clean. Adequate power to grind meat. Will try grinding steamed vegetables too.

Works very well with no problems

I bought this meat grinder back in summer 2024 and use it frequently. Works fine, albeit a bit loud. However, i accidentally put the meat holder plate that goes on top of the grinder in the dishwasher, and it came out covered in black soot. I was unable to wash it or scrub it off. I will do my best to use it, but I will be ok without it. It’s not an essential part of this equipment.

I purchased this grinder specifically to grind meat and make sausages. It arrived with minimal packaging, but thankfully nothing was damaged. On unpacking, I noticed a few scuff marks on the housing — not ideal, but not a dealbreaker. I chose this model because it was advertised as heavy duty with metal parts, not plastic. However, after reading the manual, that claim quickly fell apart. It explicitly states that you must trim away fat and any stringy meat — which is the exact opposite of what a heavy-duty grinder should require. Unless you plan on grinding butter, this isn’t it. Then in the third paragraph, it warns not to run the machine for more than 10 minutes at a time, and to then let it cool for 10 minutes before using again. That is not remotely industrial or heavy duty — that’s light duty at best. Processing 30 lbs of meat for family sausage making would take forever at that rate. I briefly turned it on (without attachments) just to confirm my decision to return it. The motor sounded cheap, loud, plasticky, and had an unpleasant oily smell. The machine itself feels light and low quality. Pros: the meat tray and grinder head are metal. Cons: everything else. I bought this based on positive reviews and regret the purchase — and now I seriously question the reliability of those reviews. I do not recommend this grinder. Stay away.

It did have an electrical smell from the motor on the 1st use. It works great at a great price
