Great Tactical Vest
I use the vest for air soft, there are three rifle magazine pouches - secured by velcro - each with an elastic strap to hold the magazine in place. It is possible to squeeze two M4 Hi-Cap magazines into each pouch - the mags have to be smooth sided though. I have two G&G AEG rifles and the supplied 300 rnd magazines are textured and they are too bulky as a result to squeeze two in together. The pistol holster I use to hold a SIG P228, it fits nicely - and I reckon the holster would handle a pistol with a longer barrel, like a Colt 1911 for example. There is a pistol magazine pouch on top of the holster - secured by velcro. Above the pistol holster are three pouches, which could be used to hold additional pistol mags, but I am hoping they are big enough to hold 40mm grenades. All the mag pouches have a drainage hole at the base. At the very top of the left side is another pouch, which I intend to use to hold a PMR - also with a drainage hole. One the right side above the rifle mag pouches is another pouch - no obvious use for that springs to mind, I keep a small LED torch in mine. It does have a removable (velcro attached) panel on the flap - for CO2 cartrides or similiar, but I have removed that and use the velcro base to attach a couple of morale patches to instead. Round the back are three rows of three elastic strips - for MOLLE attachments I think, but I can't think of a use for them. The top row has velcro on the outside - another good place to attach morale patches! I have a luminous pirate skull and bones patch, hopefully to avoid friendly fire! There's also a grab strap at the base of the neck. On each side are three strap adjusters and there are velcro adjusters on the shoulders. I have a 42" chest and it fits nicely and should accomodate larger frames easily. There's two internal zipped pockets, one either side - they are not accessible from the outside - one sits behind the pistol holster and the other sits behind the rifle mag pouches, so you would have to almost unzip the vest to get to them. On both shoulders there is a small 'D' ring - mine actually sit on the front of the vest - I have attached a carabiner to one to which I attach my mesh visor to when not being worn - that way when I grab my vest to go out the eye protection comes with me! When I am wearing eye protection I use the carabiner to attach the lanyard that is connected to my small LED torch. For me this is useful - going airsofting at night - a torch can be handy if something gets dropped - good that it is not possible to drop the torch! Finally there is an adjustable belt, it clips and latches so you need to squeeze the sides in and also press on the face of the buckle to get it to open - this can be a bit tricky. Although I haven't tried it, it should be possible to remove the supplied belt and use another belt (same width though) as the retaining loops are push stud and velcro. A note about the pistol holster - there is a retaining strap which has a press stud fitting, it is easy to unpop when wearing gloves but not easy - I'd say virtually impossible - to pop back when wearing gloves (unless the finger tips were exposed). All the pouches are fixed in position - you can't move them unless you want to unpick the stitching and stitch them back on! I have one criticism - I would like the pistol holster to be more upright rather than on an angle - but this is just my personal choice. Keeping it clean isn't a problem, when it get muddy I just remove the dirt with a small scrubbing brush and water. I should say that I am left handed, so although I would ideally like the holster to be on the right and the rifle mag pouches to be on the left, the vest does work well for me. I'd say a great piece of kit and being black looks good with camo gear and would also look good with other 'tactical' clothing.
