Review: Does what it says on the tin- explains the basics ... - Does what it says on the tin- explains the basics of machining to the ignorant- but does not take you much further than an introduction. Review: Like wading through treacle - There's probably a lot of useful information in this book, it's just so hard to find it through the 'witty' (i.e. not at all descriptive) headings and the constant joke paragraphs. To the point where I can't really bring myself to pick up the book any more because it's too frustrating to read. It's a shame, because the way the content is structured here feels like it would be a great overview of machining processes, if I could only bear to read it!

La pasta y dos páginas vienen cortadas; no es un gran problema pero sí me parece que merece una mención.

This book gets into the nitty-gritty of CNC machining. It was written by a successful machining industry professional. It covers milling and turning operations so that anyone, and I mean Anyone can understand them. I would rate this above a high school shop class foundation book. If you are thinking of getting into this field or operating a machine shop, it will give you some very useful information when it comes to making decisions upon metrology tools for insuring that your parts are dead on, machining accessories that will allow you to offer more services to your customers thereby making more money. You will also learn about tooling to use for cutting materials on your machines and how best to pick and choose. Gee, what are those coatings for anyway? I cannot recommend this book enough for someone looking to learn more than just the basics about tool & die.

Soft cover book. Have instructions HOW and WHERE to deliver. The delivery guy from INTELCOM folded a good $32.99 book in half when i specified the gate was open and i had a rubbermaid tote to put it in. Rather than enter an open gate where i said NO dogs!! The steps and tote were within 20 feet. Irs a gift so I’m not too pleased with this delivery person.
