Great Product and Great Customer Service
First I'd like to say how great this product is. I bought a house off a couple of octogenarians that was built in 1770. Needless to say it had been neglected for quite some time. My wife is not one to spend frivolously, especially when she's got a husband she can send to his death up ladders, scaffolding or traversing a roof with a rope. This epoxy can take a pretty roughly rotted board and make it solid again. There is a bit of learning curve to this, but once you get it you'll realize just how valuable it is when combined with some sister boards or some Bondo... you get the idea. With this house I only wish they sold it in 55 gallon drums! Now a bit about the company and they're fantastic customer service... I ordered the smallest size about a month ago, and it worked great, but I'm out. So earlier this week I ordered the quart size and was ready to get to work this weekend. Instead, I received some kind of tub paint! Mistakes happen and that's okay... I contacted the company Wednesday and they immediately sent out the right product! Needless to say, my wife was once again able to sacrifice me to this house this weekend! Thanks! 😊

Quick repair, nice
I have a deck stair made of one 12 x 3 piece of cedar (about 30 years old) that was rotting out from the inside on one end due to rain exposure. I mixed up half the solution and poured it into the top crack and blocked up the end with some stapled on cardboard. After about 20 minutes some of it really steamed (exothermic reaction) and set hard after 6 hours or so. Went back and drilled 1/4 inch holes into the areas that were soft under the hard upper original wood where the first batch didn't reach and filled in those with a syringe. That also steamed a bit after 20 minutes (probably a bit of moisture still inside the wood) but it set up hard. I then sanded the whole stair's upper surface since the material ran over the surface like a polyurethane. Cleaned it up really well. Now the stair is hard and does not give if you press on it. Excellent material for applications were it does not run out due to the viscosity being quite low. I have other applications where a 2 part clay type epoxy will be necessary, but this worked for my stair. Thanks!!!

Meh
Worked pretty good. I used it on a wood floor in an old house. Should have mixed two smaller batches instead of an entire half gallon for more working time. It made the wood a lot darker than expected. It did a pretty good job of gluing down the splinters and filling cracks.

So Far, So Good
We have a large south-facing, 20 year old cedar plank deck which gets not only a lot of use, but is exposed to year round weather here in the upper Northeast. Inevitably, when touching up / refinishing this summer, we found a very small amount of wood rot in two places; around one end board in a joint and the planks abutting a fir post. Before replacing the 10' boards - which were 95+% solid and without rot, I researched several products and decided on the RTG system. So I cannot, of course, comment on the durability but I can say that the system is well explained, the product easily mixed, and due to the less viscous nature, easily penetrated the rotted portions of the affected cedar. I first cleaned the area to be treated very well removing the more obvious loose rot and wood dust, allowed it to dry thoroughly, drilled several small holes and applied the mixture. It cured overnight but I allowed three days before painting. Seems to be no issue whatsoever with paint adherence. So at this point, I am very happy with this system and it saved the time and money of replacing a 10" section of a cedar board due to rot exposing maybe 1% of the end grain. Now, I wait for winter to see how it holds up. Would purchase again if needed.

Good product that strengthens & seals up rotten wood.
When you need it you need it. Works as it should and does a good job but can only handle a smaller area than I needed. Seems like all these kinds of products have gotten very expensive and now come in smaller quantities. It works well and set up nicely, but I had to buy a sheet of plywood to keep the costs down. I would recommend it for tight space and small area of rot. Recommend, just measure the coverage you need to ensure you will have enough.

Defective product with no recourse from Amazon or the company
I had high hopes for this product based on prior reviews however I seem to have received a defective batch as it did not harden as it was supposed to despite following the mixing instructions to a "t". Reported my issue and got nowhere after 1 hour of wading through 6 different people on chat and a 20 minute on hold phone call only to be told yet again they can't help. I could see not dealing with an issue if it was simply a case of not getting a product or not liking it, but folks this stuff stayed in complete liquid form and was totally useless. Not worth the price or the hassle in the event you to get a defective batch. So frustrating and expensive.

Wood rot is now rock hard solid
I purchased this to repair a bit of wood rot on my summer lake cottage (log House) The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Final results are solid and now the repaired area repels water rather than absorbing it. Fortunately I completed the repair before it got too damaged. If you have any small wood rot issues, buy this product and apply it as soon as possible to prevent bigger problems down the road.
