A FANTASTIC Christian game for any group!
Eden’s Shadow is an absolute gem! This has quickly become the most requested game by my 9-year-old son any time we have enough people to play. He used to request Werewolf but now this has taken over. The artwork is stunning and that alone makes this game standout, each card beautifully illustrates Biblical characters and themes. The gameplay is incredibly engaging, combining social inference (think Mafia or heads-up Seven up or Werewolf if you’ve ever played those), role playing, and bluffing, making it perfect for youth groups, family & friends gatherings, or really any game night where you have at least 7 players.I also like how you can play with up to 30 people, which again, makes it great for Youth Group gatherings or even any larger group. I love that the Christian theme adds a meaningful layer of fun and wholesome entertainment… especially in the world we live in today, I don’t think we could focus on Christ enough. The replay value is excellent because each new game you can either have different characters or at the very least each player is a different character. This keeps everyone engaged and involved and having fun.I cannot recommend this enough for anyone looking to enjoy a faith-based game that is fun, interactive, and highly replay able (looking at you Youth Leaders out there…)!

Fun and Meaningful Game for All Ages!
Eden's Shadow is a hit with our youth group! The mix of social inference, role-play, and bluffing keeps everyone engaged, and the beautiful artwork adds a special touch. It’s not just a game; it’s a great way to bond and discuss faith in an interactive way.

An unholy mess even exquisite art can't save
This game for 8 to 30 (?) players aims to fill the Christian's assumed need for a "One Night Ultimate werewolf" style, large group gathering gaming niche. Does it succeed?Cons:* Atrocious rules. I mean that seriously. The rules are a mangled mess of assumptions. You can barely understand what to do, *unless* you've played other games that it's a derivation of (and can 'get the gist', which is the last thing a rulebook should do).* Convoluted gameplay, mostly due to rules murkiness and a general haze around what terms and duties of players are.* Uncomfortable for its own target audience. Christian's generally don't want to 'take on the role of' demonic forces. That's the *opposite* of what they want to do. It's literally written in their holy writings.* No support. At all. There's no entry on BGG, there's no website for the company or the game. There's no social media presence, nothing. If you search for this game on any search engine, it's nowhere to be found. It's almost as if they were embarrassed to have the game linked back to the publishing company. As someone with thousands of board games, this is an almost miraculous exception to the norm.Pros:* The tragedy of the game is that is has some evocative, gorgeous artwork on the cards. As someone who collects and owns nearly every Bible themed game ever made, I went into this with much forgiveness and curiosity. I had hoped that, even if it weren't a top tier card game, it would be at least provide some serviceable entertainment for the gaming group. It was, instead, an unmitigated disaster of its own making. Not only was it not liked, it was almost uniformly despised.

Rules need to be learned but fun
Fun game! Definitely for high school or adults. Lots of rules.

Meant for a group
I love the idea of this so I couldteach my son a little bit and get him interested in the Bible but you need a lot of players. This is meant for a group so it can't just be two players.

Great game!
Similar to mafia but uses Christian themes. Offers a chance to role play as characters from Bible times. Directions are easy to understand. Great to play as a family, youth group, small group, etc. for reinforcing Bible understanding or just for fun! When we played with the youth group, the pastor and I were the team of demons and we won. Great teaching moment!! I’m gifting it to other local churches’ youth groups.

Nice quality components, needs work on the gameplay guide.
We appreciate any attempt to create a game with a Christian worldview though not all attempts work out well. The components of this game, character cards and an 8 sided die are nice quality but a game is really about gameplay. This game succeeds or fails based on the moderator's ability to keep the game fair and on track. The gameplay guide provided fails to answer significant gameplay questions that the moderator needs to succeed. How does an 8 sided die decide which player has to show their card when there can be up to 30 players? When corrupted players corrupt other players do they become corrupted players? How does that work? Going to the kahugames.com website gave some indication in that they say this is based on Werewolf. Looking online for examples of Werewolf points us to the Werewolf equivalent to this game's corrupting of other players is killing other players which eliminates them from the game. Eliminating them from the game makes sense but this gameplay guide doesn't say that. I think there needs to be an update to the Gameplay Guide with better instructions and more examples of gameplay. The game designers needed to run these instructions past a lot of people that never heard of Werewolf to get it right. At a minimum they should have an updated guide on their website that people can print out and keep with this game. I hope they succeed.

Beautiful Graphics!
The quality of the cards, especially the graphic design work was excellent. This is a great card game for church youth groups or even home connect groups.
