Improved extruding. Easy to install. Worth the rather low cost of upgrade.

My initial release K1 had all of the typical issues with the hotend and extruder that you could find everywhere online. I think the primary detractor to this extruder design is the PTFE tube that comes out of the bottom of it and butts up to the hotend. I think more of the extrusion issues are related to the PTFE tube not being fully aligned to the hotend. I paired this new style extruder with the Unicorn hotend found on the K1C and I couldn't be happier. This allowed me to get rid of that PTFE tube from the bottom of extruder and run the hotend directly into it. This pairing immediately solved my under extrusion issues and my K1 now prints beautifully.

It extrudes better than the last one when it encountered a waterlogged filament that broke off and jammed. My prints are good and it fits the machine well. Definitely worth getting to keep your machine operating!

This extruder is a piece of junk. Buy the original instead! I think people have hyped it up before actually testing it, because it didn't take long for it to fail on me. The plastic gear that connects to the filament-gripping u-wheel started slipping! The gears turn but they won't push the filament anymore because they're sliding on their own shaft! I'm very disappointed, clearly a lot of thought was put into this extruder, but it looks like they didn't even bother to glue the gears on, they're just slid on there. I returned it and got another unit and it did the exact same thing. If they had just made the gears out of steel and threw some loctite 638 on it this wouldn't have happened. When the extruder did work, it did in fact print much nicer than the original and eliminated VFA, but that means nothing if it breaks after 2 prints! I can easily separate the gear using a pair of pliers on this thing. Compare that to the original, which I couldn't remove even using all my strength. I tried supergluing it back on, but that didn't work.

Factory replacement part, excellent price, fit is perfect and original. Easy to install even without instructions. No issues with print quality afterwards, it cleared up the filament jamming issue I was having with the worn out part it replaced.

My original K1 extruder had been giving me loads of issues-replaced with this new upgrade and everything now working perfectly. Replacement was exact fit-so no issues installing & setting up.

Great replacement for the original one on my K1 max that had the clicking noise. So far no problems.

Official source of parts and the availability is what is important when you have a 3d printer. The original had issues with feeding and often leading to print issues and clogs. This upgraded design has proven to be quite reliable and has a larger pulling force than the previous model. There are a lot of quirks with the k1max and k1 series but for a work horse printer it's a must to have replacement parts. I'm glad Creality is making strides to keep the line going with upgrades and replacements.

Tengo un modelo anterior de K1C el cual actualicé con el nuevo hotend y PCB, el motor del extrusor lo conservé ya que funciona bien. Compre este componente y al montarlo corrigio todos los problemas de rayas en la primera capa. Se comporta excelente y lo recomiendo 100%.
