A lesson I learned is to never cheap out on a good fountain pen and the price for this pen is spot on. Of course, there are always pens that are more pricey, which could mean higher quality, but even if you are new to fountain pens, this would make for a fantastic start. I would even propose this as being a wonderful gift to anyone. This pen writes so smoothly and the ink flows so wonderfully well. I've never had a problem with the ink leaking so far, but if it starts to, I'll update the review. I would definitely buy this fountain pen again. I would even go far as to recommend this pen to be your traveling companion; The quality of this pen just blows my mind. Thanks, Monaggio for crafting such a wonderful fountain pen.

Writes well enough, attractive. 4 stars because the cap doesn't fit on the end when you're using it. Updated to add the tip came apart and stuck in the cap. 14 months of very light use. Now it's useless. Now 1 star.

I ordered two, one in the gorgeous reddish brown color and one in the natural bamboo. I had to go online to understand how to open it (pull or unscrew the cap) and how to refill it. It would be nice to have instructions included in the packaging. I found the website instructions less helpful (no images) than a video instructional I easily found.My teen child and I both love these pens. He likes that it’s unique these days and I like that it reduces waste by not purchasing disposable pens all the time. I also love the look of these pens. The matching carrying case is a nice touch.

Pen is very pretty . But thit s one particular pen has a hard time keeping top to stay on pen. Keeps falling off. Pen writes very nice...small thin letters. It sucks ink from bottle well. Cannot say how cartridge works as I have not tried cartridges. Wood is very pretty

I don't know if it's really a Monnagio or not. The black Monnagio I own it's engraved Monnagio. This piece of Junk does not have any engraving, only the wooden box that comes with it. I do hope this Garbage is NOT Monnagio, probably a third party seller, because it leaks all the time. My refund window expired because since believing it was a Monnagio, the first times it happened I thought were an exceptions. This is my first Amazon review, I don't leave such reviews but this garbage deserves some spanking. Monnagio better cut off this supplier, because it ruins their brand. The black genuine Monnagio is a beauty and is flawless, this piece of poop is worthless.

I am a writer (poet/translator) who handwrites initial drafts. Ok, I scribble a lot and have used many many different pens over the years. This is the best. I use mine daily. (Noodler's ink) Works well, no splotching, drying, paper tears, etc. Oh, and the nib has a slight give to it so there' a dip pen feel!I don't understand the economics of pricing... this is a well made pen (wood w wooden box!) which feels nice in the hand.

This pen looks beautiful on the outside. However the filler mechanism inside is cheaply made, and it seems impossible to fill.Don’t waste your money.

I use it for calligraphy design. It's so easy to handle and write beautifully. I bought several fountain pens and this is the best. I will buy it again when it becomes available.
