Sewn Animal Heads: Trophy Heads to Stitch Review: Fun and Unique - This is a wonderful book with patterns and clear instructions. Review: Not a beginners project, but Oh WOW!!!! - I have been a hobby sewer for almost 40 years. I make costumes, clothes, quilts and totes for myself and family. I purchased this as a paperback first. You need to photo-enlarge the pattern pieces. The first animal I made was the rabbit. It is not easy. There are small fiddly pieces and tight turns. I found that hand basting, instead of pin basting is preferable. That being said, I am HOOKED!!!. The challenge is part of the fun. In addition to the rabbit, I have made the horse and the fox. I am currently working on the elephant. The patterns are great. It is amazing to take two dimensional pieces of fabric and make an amazing 3-D piece. I would not recommend this book the a beginning sewer. But if you are familiar with following instructions and have sewn a variety of objects, I highly recommend this book. Beware though, my sewing machine had had some challenges getting through all the layers in places.

What are you waiting for??
*edited to add that I print mine at home. I scan in the pattern to my PC, I then go in and crop the page to be the exact size of the page. Meaning when I scan the page in I also get the free space from my scanner; I crop that out. Then using a free online PDF maker (I use smallpdfdotcom) I make a pdf, save to computer, then print at 200%, POSTER. SEE a screen capture I've uploaded to show what my printer pop up looks like. I put off buying this book for so long because I thought I couldn't make these complicated animal heads. Even though I am an accomplished sewer the eyes on these made me think I couldn't do it. I finally bought this book and can't believe I waited so long! I'm not going to say these are easy but if you mark all your pieces and read and re read the instructions you can do it. I'll post photos of each one as i finish them. **Also, I interfaced every single piece to give the fabric stability.

I haven't made anything yet, but they give you patterns and have lots of pictures of the finished product.

Fun book!
This book is full of colorful pics of the finished projects, all the patterns and easy to follow instructions. I am eager to start making a moose to hang in my sewing room!

Just wish full size patterns were included
I love the book and the easy to follow instructions. The only downside to all of the patterns in the book, is they all have to be enlarged 200%. Ok I guess if you have a printer that can do that. Unfortunately, I had to go to a placed to have them enlarged on engineering paper and it cost about $30 to do so👎👎👎. I think if I’d known that b4 hand I probably wouldn’t have bought the book.😞

Simplesmente perfeito. Fiz o Galo, agora vou fazer a raposa.

È in inglese. Bisogna essere pratici nel cucito e conoscere la lingua.

Conforme à la description.. Même si il n'est pas en français c'est assez claire pour comprendre. Peut être serait-il en français un jour
