Clean. No horrible sweeteners or seed oils
One of the only clean protein shakes vegan or otherwise. I got the Chocolate/Peanut butter first and it has not a trace of chocolate taste, it taste like peanut butter which is fine, its not a bad taste and its perfectly drinkable. We saw we were going to grind through the 5 pound jug quickly so bought another one and got a Double Chocolate flavor. We use one scoop of each and that just barely gives a slight chocolate flavor. Its Peanut butter with a slight chocolate which is good. Its totally drinkable because its actual sugar and not those horrible sugar substitutes, all of them taste the same, like that old 1970s saccharin taste which is just awful. Like seed oils, its damn near impossible to find anything without one or the other in it. Just the fact that it doesn't have horrible sweeteners nor seed oils makes it basically like a golden unicorn. 99.8% of all the others have at least one of these, most have both. Being an old man (66) there's no possible way to get the 180gr of protein per day I am supposed to get to try to keep muscle especially since I am vegan. Even drinking 3 of these a day I am lucky to end up with about 150gr a day of protein. As far as I've seen this is about your only choice if you want a clean protein drink. I just mix with about 10 oz of cold water and use a coffee frother to mix it. The taste is perfectly fine especially double chocolate mixed with chocolate peanut butter.

Tastes like dog food
Disgusting. Tastes exactly like dog food. No joke. My husband and I had to immediately spit it out and wash our mouths out. We have tried lots of protein powders before, and have never had one that tastes this bad. I drink matcha and kombucha, and can usually stomach anything. There’s no way I could try to choke this down. Super disappointing, total waste of money.

Best Dairy/Whey Free Protein Alternative
The taste is a little rough, but I mix it with 8 ounces of Coke Zero or Diet Mountain Dew and it completely negates the pea taste. In short, find 8 ounces of something you like to mix with it. For someone like me who is allergic to whey, this has proved to be the best alternative. The protein content is solid, and it is free of dairy, soy, and gluten, which makes it a good fit for anyone with dietary restrictions. It also has a simple ingredient list without a lot of extras. I have tried other proteins, but this one has been the most consistent and effective. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a reliable non whey protein source.

Tastes Like Blended Dehydrated Peas and Bakers Chocolate
Given the positive reviews, I was extremely surprised by my experience. This stuff does not mix well at all, I used 12oz of milk and the recommended 2 scoops serving in a Blender Bottle. I was left with a very grainy drink with muddy powder left at the bottom. I couldn't believe how the label recommends only 6-10oz of beverage for two scoops, that has to be impossible to completely dissolve. The taste left a lot to be desired as well, it is distinctly pea. On my second attempt to have a better experience I tried mixing 12oz whole chocolate milk with only one scoop of powder. It was still extremely grainy and surprisingly still tasted like peas. I was hoping that the whole chocolate milk would be enough to mask it but it wasn't. I gave it two stars because it didn't upset my stomach. I really wish they offered a version with more sugar to mask the taste and a formula that mixed better.

Good Value, Solid Taste.
I switched from whey to pea protein because of a whey intolerance I have. I believe this definetly helped my stomach comfort. This stuff does the job, but I sadly like whey a lot better. I appreciate the fact that there are only a few ingredients in this one, but the flavor is not particularly delicious. It dissolves in my smoothie, but does have a grainy texture. It is also a bit highter calorie than the whey I used to purchase but its worth it in my circumstances.

Buyer Beware!!! Higher Sodium content!
My dr suggested that I move to a vegan protein supplement. After trying the sample pack (unflavored, vanilla and chocolate) and not liking any of those, I ordered the 5 pound container of this double chocolate hoping the pea taste would be better masked. After a month, I wound up in urgent care because something was causing a spike in my blood pressure. Even with food logs, my doctor and I could not figure out what it was. After my urgent care visit, I stopped taking all supplements altogether because I couldn’t pinpoint what was causing the spike. Once everything leveled out once again I slowly started introducing different supplements back into my diet. Within days of bringing back this protein powder my blood pressure started rising again. That’s when I looked at the sodium content! I’m not sure why this product, this flavor specifically, has 2X the sodium as the other flavors. If you are someone who is sensitive to sodium intake, beware! I never would’ve thought my protein supplement would’ve been causing the spike in my blood pressure! Unfortunately I can’t return this 5lb container bc there are no returns on opened products or if it’s been more than 15 days from purchase.

Extreme Shrink-flation
Great product, but they’ve been quietly reducing the amount of powder in the container. I have two of the plastic scoops - one from a while back that I kept because it had a longer handle that I liked - and the one that came with the current container. Using a calibrated digital scale the old one gives 25g / scoop and the new one 23. That way they can keep the serving size, number of scoops per serving, and servings per package the same but reduce the amount in the container by a small amount. On top of that, they’ve been steadily increasing their prices.

Really a nice alternative to whey, nice and natural but kinda 'grainy' and the flavor isn't as nice as some of the whey proteins but it is a much more natural low sugar product so that's a big bonus, guess it depends on what's more important :-)

I'm sure it's healthy and haven't had any gut discomfort, but the taste is absolutely awful. Got the double chocolate and it doesn't help. At this point, I take it like medicine and put a scoop with minimal water and chug it down.

First and foremost; I've had pieces of plastic in my powder. Pretty sure that's not in the list of ingredients. I won't even touch on the intense bitter taste that needs to be mixed with anything to make this palatable. I'm all for doing what's necessary in the name of fitness but shooting a shaker cup of this back is work.

when I opened my package, the lid was cracked but the seal wasn't tampered with, so that is fine. taste wise, I know pea protein is disgusting but I thought with me getting the double chocolate, it would make it less awful. I was wrong. I put extra protein in some of my foods and I need a chaser just so I don't have the texture and awful taste in my mouth. I will never buy this again, I can't even return it for it being damaged when I recieved it. The only plus to this protein powder are the ingredients, macros, and the cost for how much you get compared to other brands. Edit: I threw it out.
