Fueling My Athletes with Better Taste & Better Nutrition
This product is absolutely amazing. It’s a plant-based protein powder and hands down the best protein powder I’ve ever had. It mixes up smooth and creamy, not chalky at all, and there’s no aftertaste. The taste is clean, rich, and satisfying. I have three children who are athletes—one plays softball, one plays baseball, and one does track and field as well as volleyball—and they all love this product. As a parent, I’m always looking for something I can give my kids without worrying about unhealthy ingredients, and this checks every box. We’ve been transitioning away from milk-based products, especially since I can’t tolerate them, and this vegan protein has been perfect for our entire family. The chocolate flavor is the first one we tried, and my kids absolutely love it. My children are 12, 14, and 16 years old, and between all of us, we went through this bag incredibly fast. I literally just bought it two days ago, and it’s already clear that one bag is not enough for our household because we all drink it. This is truly a magnificent product, and I’m already looking forward to purchasing the other flavors, especially the vanilla—for myself and for my kids. We’re hooked.

Top-Quality Chocolate Vegan Protein – Highly Recommended
I am using this protein powder form last few days and i already impressed with this. This Chocolate Vegan Protein Powder tastes great and isn’t overly sweet. It mixes smoothly with water or plant-based milk without lumps. The texture is creamy and easy to drink. I found it gentle on the stomach with no bloating. The ingredients feel clean and high quality. A solid vegan protein option for daily use or post-workout recovery

Love the nutrition, but a bit lumpy
I like that this protein drink is a complete meal with a TON of protein, 40 grams! The taste is pleasant. The texture is a bit lumpy despite following the instructions of adding ice and using a blender. Not the smoothest shake I've ever tried, but not a deal breaker. This is better than some other protein powders I've tried that do not have as many nutrients.

Convenient, but with side effects
Ive gone through 3 bags of chocolate flavored Huel Black by this point, so here is my personal review. Let's start with the good. This product is incredibly convenient for weight loss or a busy lifestyle, or if you are forgetful of eating. The chocolate flavor is quite yummy, if slightly clumpy, and it kept me fueled for around 4-6 hrs with a double scoop, or around 2-3hrs with a single. I could usually get about 15 shakes from 1 bag (making a mix of double and single scoop shakes), which totals to around $2.65-$3.75 per shake, which is a decent price. Now for the bad. If you have GI issues, I cannot recommend this product as I noticed a significant amount of abdominal bloating and bad smelling gas, most likely due to the high fiber content. I had hoped these symptoms would reduce as my body adjusted but it didnt. When ingesting such high amounts of fiber it is very important to stay hydrated, but unfortunately I was left with swollen legs due to water retention, even after drinking copious amounts of water throughout the day. If youre trying to lose weight on a budget and dont mind a bit of bad gas, this isnt a terrible place to start. That being said, if youre looking to use meal shakes long term, I thinks its worthwhile to invest in ones that done cause such a disrupt to the GI tract (my personal preference os Ka'Chava.) PROS: Yummy taste Kept me full for roughly 4hrs, especially with 2 scoops Convenient Cheaper than most brands CONS: Chalky and clumpy when made with blender bottle Caused significant abdominal bloating Bad smelling gas Water retention, leading to swollen legs

I got some Huel tips for you
I almost never mix up a Huel and drink it immediately. I mix it up right after I drink the last one, which has been sitting mixed in the fridge for hours already, up to a day or more sometimes. This ENORMOUSLY helps with the texture. I do this with all my shakes. They are all better after soaking longer. If it soaks too long it starts to ferment and opening the shaker bottle will come with an obvious pressure pop and it tastes sparkly kind of like kombucha. The website says don't let it sit too long pre-mixed but so far I've never noticed any dire effects. Could be I'm gambling with my life? It doesnt come with a scoop. This is to save money and the earth. Your first order of Huel from their website includes one, but I just use a stainless steel measuring cup I have set aside in a dish on the counter for this one purpose. Add the powder to the liquid, not the liquid to the powder, unless you like bricks at the bottom of your bottle. You can't put dry powder in a bottle for transport and add water later wherever you are. Learned this the hard way. Swirl the bottle before shaking it, so you don't just slam pack the top of the bottle full of sludge that never mixes in. Learned this the hard way too. When I first open a new bag, I will take a toothbrush I have for cleaning shaker bottles, and dry scrub out the zipper of the huel bag. Wherever they pack this stuff and seal the bag, there is often powder in the zipper. I do this until I'm able to get the zip to close. You can also just fold and use a clip, or dump it all in a repurposed protein powder jug or a big plastic tupperware. I like to mix my chocolate huel with chocolate vega sport protein. ~ 60g Huel, ~30g Vega. It's like drinking chocolate pudding. The coffee flavor has caffeine. May seem obvious but I learned the hard way after a sleepless night. Huel contains MCT oil from coconut. This has me searching for alternatives because I am mildly allergic. I used to use straight MCT oil and could immediately tell that the area around my nose would get itchy after taking it. The effect of the Huel is milder to the point that I've ignored it for years, but I figure it's time to quit giving myself mild allergic reactions constantly. This info is for anyone who might notice anything similar. Any new product may come with a gastrointestinal adjustment period. Oats are commonly associated with gas. You might want to get a digestive enzyme supplement along with your first order. I have never noticed a particular reaction with Huel myself, but it's pretty common that new proteins and fibers introduced into your diet will have an adjustment period and you may eventually decide you're not compatible if it never goes away.

Mixed well with water or oat milk. This power option also works out a lot cheaper than buying the bottles, so it's double won for me. Yes, it does taste a little sweeter than the bottles but it's not a deal breaker for me. I'll be stocking back up as and when needed. 5 stars.

Surprisingly tasty, dissolves well even with three scoops if you use their shaker or a mixing ball. Good macros.

No scoop or shaker cup just the powder. I enjoy it regardless.

Great taste, doesn’t mix the best when using water, ends up with grainy texture when trying to drink. I found that it mixes a lot better with milk. Product doesn’t come with a measuring scoop
