Perfect little kit
Perfect! I used this to install on 10awg wire and it worked out great. Came with enough connectors to wire up my 2 panels, and have spear connectors. I like the case it comes in. Overall good value and well made.

Great starter/intermediate Kit
This set is an excellent introduction into using MC-4 connectors and should provide a sufficient number of connectors and contacts to meet standard starter or intermediate systems. The Crimpers worked really well (Hint: set the pin into the crimper and slight crimp before inserting the wire - this makes sure the pin will crimp properly). There is only one size of pin (12 - 10 gauge) and the crimper will also only handle that size. However, most solar cabling using MC-4 connectors are 10 or 12 gauge wires.

Made the job easy
There were no connectors on our RVs solar panel. Basically hardwired. That made any maintenance difficult. This kit has almost everything we needed to install connectors to make panel removal and installation a breeze. Online research on how to install the connectors was all that was needed to learn how to install. Very easy IMHO. The price of the kit was worth it for us. Sure beats buying just the connectors and trying to install them on the cheap and run into problems. The crimper worked as it should. Did have to squeeze the crimp tabs on the connector pins slightly to fit the tool a little better. We needed to supply wire strippers. Unknown about the connector housings quality. Seem fine. But I am no solar expert. Glad we bought it!

Everything’s in one case for getting on the roof
Item works great! Crimps perfectly. The case is easily able to carry onto a roof and it holds 10 mc4 connections in it so my hands are not full of tools and equipment, just the single case. Very happy with the product 😁

Great budget set
I bought this set so I could turn 2 long cables into 4 not quite as long cables. The connectors are good quality, and have so far (about 3 weeks) held up well just sitting on the ground through rain and snow melt. The crimper is good quality as well. The ratcheting mechanism works well, with no more slop on the open end than you'd expect from a budget set.The disconnect tools/wrenches work, but consider them a disposable item if you'll be making lots of cables. To get the connectors tight over the gasket, you have to turn until the "wrench" slips on the hex part of the connector, which will surely wear it out before long. Sort of like a disposable torque wrench. That carrying case is definitely not long for this world if you are going to be using the crimper or disconnect tools regularly. The elastic bands that hold them in place have to stretch pretty far to remove and replace them. It's just as well in my case. As soon as I use all of the connectors or buy more, the tools will go in a tool box or bag and any connectors into a different storage arrangement.Definitely worth the price if you are just a hobbyist or DIYer.
