Another excellent Sofirn light. The form factor is great and has the built in USB-C charging. 18650 battery included. The UI is easy to use and to switch between red and white light. Having moonlight mode built in is super useful for camping. This light feels super light for such a high output headlight and I'm really happy with the runtimes. You also have a battery / charging indicator on the power button. If you are looking for a well built, affordable, and easy to use headlamp you can't go wrong with this. I've yet to be disappointed with a Sofirn product.

Headlamp is very bright especially enjoy the red light modes and how bright it gets the 1200 lumen output is more than enough for most applications absolutely blinding The headband is very high quality and will fit any head shape with easy or attach to hat or beanie no issues. (or anything else you'd want to put it into) The charger port is sealed behind a twist gasket ensuring it will not be damaged or get any fluid or debris inside it when traversing harsh environments. Lasts a very long time I do not see myself needing to recharge it more than once or twice a month assuming you are not using it constantly. I find it to not get too hot assuming I am not using the absolute brightest mode available. The red light mode is very cool (heat wise). You could also use this when biking or on a small vehicle for increased night visibility it is very versatile. I think most people could really use this in their life and would enjoy the purchase. It makes a great gift!

I bought this headlamp when it was on sale recently and its performance has been very impressive. It has a floody beam for a wide area of coverage which is very good for walking around at night. It does both white and red lights, both are fully adjustable via ramped or step mode. The headlamp itself is very lightweight and the headband is comfortable for extended wear time. I wore mine for quite a while and the headlamp never got very hot. It takes 18650 batteries , so the run time is excellent and there’s onboard usb-c charging. Sofirn checked all the boxes on this light and I found the price to be extremely reasonable. User interface is easy enough to learn that I figured it out without using a manual. The headlamp can be positioned up and down and it stays where you need it to stay via the articulating mount on the headband. I ended up buying another one to stick in my car and another to give to my dad. Highly recommended!

Priced too high on Amazon. This is a great headlamp. So great, I own 7 of them. I keep one in most rooms, in my car, one at work, basement, etc. It's not the brightest, longest-lasting, nor does it do anything 'the best'. However, it does everything very well, is comfortable to use, has a red light, and the battery can be easily replaced once it's reached it's been charged too many times.

This Sofirn Bright Red Headlamp is basically identical to the PEAX Backcountry Duo — same design, same performance, just a different logo and way cheaper. It’s bright, rechargeable, and the red light mode works great for hunting or hiking at night. Comfortable, reliable, and an amazing deal for the price. I own 5 of these now, and have given many as gifts!

First, I'm a flashlight freak, and I'm kind of a big deal. So, you should listen to my BS. The headband is the most comfortable of any headband I've experienced. The red light is definitely bright enough to see when working at night. Red doesn't throw as far as white light, but the red mode on this light is quite capable. In my opinion the effective working illumination distances are: High = 60ft, med = 40 ft, low = 20 ft. I've personally been building my house in the otherwise pitch dark, using this red light on the low setting. (You can't see red colors). In any case, it's easy enough to switch modes from red to white. I haven't done an extensive test on runtimes, but the following should be fairly close. High = 3.75hrs. Med = 6.5hrs. Low = 10hrs. Know that the red light can make certain colors invisible to you, while some colors might appear to be other colors. The flashlight body can get warm when leaving it on high for an extended period of time. But, the headlamp mount stays cool on your head. That's pretty important! The white light seems reasonably well done too. The high setting is probably too intense for many applications. I'll be sticking with medium or low, so the battery lasts longer. Buy some extra 18650 rechargeable batteries and extend your runtime. I keep several around, fully charged. I like the ones with the on board USB-C charging port right on the battery. Most headlamps that contain red are either too dim or took large. This headlamp hits the sweet spot. It's bright enough and compact. The 18650 battery generally has enough power to last for a while. Oddly, they don't give the runtimes! So far I'm giving it a very high score 9.5/10. If it breaks, I'll amend my review.

Super bright light at great price

Great headlight. Appreciate the rechargeable nature and the ability to tilt it up and down. Works great for astronomy with my 10" dob on dimmest red setting. great for working under the car or just working around the yard at night. I have no use for the flashing settings so they were not tested. Not sure how long it would last on a long, dark hike in the woods on full bright though because the brightest setting is super bright and the body gets pretty warm. You don't feel the heat wearing it though because the light body is held away from the strap by the mount. It's a little heavy compared to cheaper plastic ones, but nothing that bothers you and the weight comes with the quality and durability of the unit. Want light weight? Then you get cheap and breakable with it. I'm pretty sure I could run this one over with my car and still be good. The heads strap is just "ok", but nothing special. Does it's job, but perhaps feels a little "weak" in the elastic durability dept. I can easily replace the strap in the future if needed so that's not really a negative against the light itself. I really appreciate that the battery can be replaced with another rechargeable if it ever dies by just unscrewing the end cap and dropping in a new one. Means the product has some longevity to it, which is rare in this "throw-away" world. Highly recommended for just about everything where you need a "hands free" light. Great buy!

Ilumina bastante! Testei em uma rodovia à noite, completamente escura. A amplitude da iluminação me surpreendeu. As variações de intensidade são boas, tem opção de ficar piscando em umas 2 frequências diferentes e tem a luz vermelha. Ainda não usei por tempo prolongado, então não consigo avaliar o desempenho nesse contexto (bateria, por exemplo). Notei que ela esquenta rápido quando na potencia máxima, mas não me incomodou em nada (não esquentou na testa ou algo assim). Não sei dizer se esse aumento de temperatura afetaria algo em uso prolongado. A tira que prende a lanterna à cabeça é confortável e ajustável. Essa tira tem uma leve espuminha onde a lanterna encaixa que deixa confortavel em contato com a pele. No vídeo que compartilho estou a quatro passos do quadro que está encostado na parede. Por enquanto, aprovadíssima!

I've had and still have numerous different headlamps and I just had to give this one a try when I stumbled across it recently and I'm so glad I did. She's a ripper. Bulletproof metal design. Rated as IP55 it's dust proof and water "resistant" (NOT waterproof as claimed). IP55 is actually limited protection against dust and water ingress, but not advised to completely submerse in water. However, it will survive very nicely in rainy or dusty conditions as It does has nice o-ring seals on both ends of the lamp covering the USB-C charging port, and on the other end covering the battery enclosure and are held tightly in place by threaded caps. The light is bright, has numerous brightness levels, a Red light to keep those pesky bugs away, SOS and Strobe settings. Awesome stuff. It can be turned on, and off, with just one click. Yay! Not like most others that require many clicks to get it on and off again. Runs on one 18650 battery which are readily available all over the planet and provide great run times. So if you happen to have spare 18650 batteries laying about then it's a 15 second job to swap out the battery so you can go all night with this headlamp until you get home and plug into a wall charger to charge back up. Ignore someone else's review where they got all chelpy about it not having a recharge port blah blah blah, and not having any other modes. They clearly can't read the advert, read instructions, could possibly have vision problems as they seem not to be able to see the labels etched onto each end of the headlamp that clearly shows which end has a USB charge port on one end and a swappable battery on the other end. Some people hey?! Also see my pictures that clearly show which end does what 😉 The headlamp has all that's advertised and more. Get one, it's a bright, versatile, lightweight but yet strong headlamp. I'm going to buy another shortly so I can keep one in the car/garage and the other in the house.
