CEENLI Body Weight Scale,Mechanical Charging (Battery Free)

I loved the idea of no batteries. Unfortunately, in less than 2 weeks the mechanism you press to charge it ceased working. Sometimes if I give it a vigorous shake whatever broke will shift back into place and it will work for another use and then again refuses to charge. It was treated carefully, not moved and used by a person weighing less than 130 pounds. Extremely disappointing.

Up piezo. I bought the CEENLI bathroom scale because I think manually charged piezo scales are the best. This one replaces a great old Thinner model I lost.Accuracy. Seems fairly accurate. Eleven consecutive weighings differed less than a pound total spread, less than 1 percent. Picking up an item which I knew to be eleven pounds increased the displayed weight by eleven pounds.Precision. I'm not used to scales which register tenths of a pound. At the moment I'm inclined to ignore the presence of the last digit.Description. The CEENLI scale was one of the lighter scales I saw while shopping, a tad over 3-lb in weight. The scale has a 3/16 inch top plate of glass or polycarbonate, hard to see in the product picture. This slick top seems to reject heat, sometimes feeling chilly against bare feet. The platform is a generous 12-5/8 inches wide.Operation. After the scale locks on its reading, it continues to display for a surprising 40 seconds after I step off. (Experimenting on carpet, I found the reading would not lock at all.) A button on the bottom toggles between kilos and lbs. No other adjustments are available.Price. When I bought it, the CEENLI scale was the cheapest piezo scale available on Amazon, cheap enough to be a give-away in case of disappointment. However, I like it and use it regularly.Design comment. It is not necessary to place a prominent charging button in the middle of the deck; the mechanism could be easily hidden elsewhere, out of sight.
