This lamp is amazing—simple to set up, sturdy yet lightweight, and it uses LED bulbs, which are far better than incandescent ones. While the LED bulbs aren’t replaceable, they’re built to last a long time, making it completely reasonable for a $50 lamp. The remote control is super handy and very easy to use. It only took me about 10 minutes to figure out. You can control both the main lamp and a flexible reading light, giving you great versatility. The lamp offers a wide range of color temperature options, from warm yellow tones to bright white, and everything in between. Both lights are dimmable and work independently, allowing you to set the main light to warm and dim while the reading light stays bright and white—or any combination you like. You can make all the adjustments using either the remote or touch controls on the lamp stem. Personally, I mostly use the magnetic remote, which sticks to the lamp stem, so I always know where it is. The remote also has a long range, letting me control the lamp from anywhere in my bedroom. I also connected the lamp to a smart plug, so I can control it with my Alexa device, and it works perfectly. The smart control is limited to turning the lamp on or off, but it’s still a nice feature. The lamp is incredibly bright and easily lights up my 350-square-foot bedroom. In summary, I absolutely love this lamp and highly recommend it—you won’t regret it!

I needed some bright uplight in my bedroom and this lamp was perfect! It’s smoothly dimmable not in particular increments, you can change the temperature of the light quality (4 options), the reading downlight part is quite flexible and can be twisted and turned or straightened, larger uplight has different angle options as well depending on where you want the light reflecting. Each light can be turned on/off separately and temperature and brightness adjusted individually. Plus there’s a magnetic remote in addition to buttons on the lamp stem itself! The base is heavy enough for stability but it could possibly be knocked over if really given a hard push by energetic kids or large rambunctious pets. I have an older Ott Lite that has a really super heavy base but it’s also awkward to move around. I got the black model because it was significantly less expensive than the gray/silver and it’s a somewhat matte finish but smooth enough to clean and without obvious texture. You have to screw a few pieces of the stem together and it took a few tries to make sure the threads were lined up properly, a tad awkward but not bad. The wiring is already threaded through it and comes out an opening a couple inches above the base unit so it just has to be pulled taught once the pole is screwed together then it plugs into another cord that has a standard wall plug. (USA anyway). I’m definitely thinking of getting another one for another room with subpar lighting. It doesn’t dim significantly like a night light but you do get a softer reading light etc at the lowest setting and it’s bright enough to give decent light to most my average sized bedroom depending on how I angle it.

I was looking for a brighter lamp than what I have in t he living room. What I had was bright enough but covered only a small area, basically the chair as it is one of those over the sitting space type. This lamp is the torche' type, which I should have gotten in the first place. The lamp was easy to put together and you can control the side lamp and main lamp separately. The remote is magnetic so you can jut stick it to the lamp pole. This lamp is a max of 4500 lumens and they are not kidding! This thing can get bright and lights up my entire living room! Of course you can adjust for brightness and color as with these type lamps. I chose this one partly due to the reviews, all 5 star. I know what to expect and it is not always accurate, but they said this lamp was bright and well done and they were right! The only con for me is that the pole is small in diameter and that makes me a little concerned, but it seems well built. Also it has a huge wall wart power supply. I don't know why they need it that big. This was a good buy plus the fact that it is LED which means it may outlive me.

I purchased this from my office at work because I do not like overhead incandescent lighting. The warm light provides a soothing ambience to work. The controls on the pole are confusing to use, so because of this issue, I am giving a score of four instead of five. Otherwise, the remote works great and so this is what I use to adjust the heads up lighting. I particularly enjoy the two light sources and that one of them is adjustable.

I liked it so much I bought another. Purchased one for my bedroom to replace a veeerry old ikea one. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was bright enough. But after I left and came back to the room, I could definitely notice the difference. It’s nice and bright for a 100sq ft bedroom, so I purchased one for the main living room which is an open layout with angled ceilings, about 400sq feet. I placed it in the center and have the main light bouncing off the highest point of the ceiling. It diffuses the light well. The controller magnetically sticks to the lamp. Very easy to assemble. If you have opposable thumbs, you can put it together. 2 small minor things: the remote magnet could be stronger (easy fix with some additional metal/magnets), and even with the instructions, I had a bit of a learning curve to control the lights. Otherwise, so far so good.

Initial impressions the product is exactly as advertised. The lamp body screws together smoothly leaving almost no visible seam between the sections from distance. The LEDs are bright and have no issues lighting a ~12x12 office space that has no ceiling lights. The base is very heavy so the lamp is not easily pushed over - its more likely to unscrew from the base before tipping. A small perk is also the secondary small light is on an easily adjustable arm that seems to stay in any position you put it in.
