DEMETER Kitten Fur 3.4 Oz Cologne Spray, Perfume for Women and Men

Kitten Fur is a lovely, sweet & powdery vanilla musk fragrance that can be worn by both women and men, although in my opinion it leans more feminine. Sensual, comforting, cozy. If you've ever smelled Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist, you'll probably find that Kitten Fur smells very similar to that fragrance, for a literal fraction of the price. It's beautiful on its own, but can be layered with a nice jasmine to duplicate Cashmere Mist even more closely, or it can go with any number of other scents. The longevity of Demeter colognes is often criticized, but I find this one to be decently long-lasting, especially on clothing, and to perform just as well as a lot of fragrances that cost a lot more. This is a new favorite perfume of mine1

I think, going in, I was expecting kitten fur, and having had cats my entire adult life, I was put off by the smell being anything BUT kitten fur, which to me, smells mildly of sweet popcorn. This fragrance does not smell like that. However, when I put it away for a few days, then stopped expecting kitten fur, suddenly, I fell in love with it. It has a unisex, husky, musky quality that is delicious. However, smell is so subjective, I can't say it's for everyone. Not at all. TO best describe it, it, it smells like a sweet, mild, non-alcoholic whiskey, if that makes sense. But not too sweet. This is, so far, one of my favorite scents to wear and I wear it all the time now. I originally used it in my car as a car freshener, but now, it's got dual purposes: y car, and my body. Love it.

It smells like baby powder and vanilla. Nothing evokes “kitten fur”. It’s like a Yankee Candle threw up.

A requested gift for my daughter-in-law, a big time cat lover. She loved it! A bit on the sweet side for me.

I absolutely love this fragrance; despite (or maybe because of) the name. I found it in a tiny roller version (perfect for my purse or travel) locally and was so thrilled to find it here. It's lovely. One of my all time favorites!UPDATE: while I still love this fragrance, I cannot use it because every time I do, I taste it. No matter where I spray it or how little I use. It's in my mouth. Blech.
