This device was perfect for what I needed. Worked great for doing a forced regen on my 6.7 liter paccar motor and my 6.7 liter cummings. I would highly recommend this product for those of you have inner city straight trucks that seldom get up to speed or distance for your truck to do a regen while hauling. Just the savings alone from having your service center or mobile mechanic do the procedure pays for it the first time.

This scanner works perfect on my diesel RV. I leave it connected so any time I need to i just pull up the app on my phone. couldn't be any easier. I've used it to monior fluids, read codes and clear codes. Since it plugs in down behind the pedals on my RV, this is just very convenient to leave attached.

I could never get it to regen, any of my trucks so it was a worthless tool

I work on a fleet of Gillig busses using Cummins engines and after a day of playing with this scanner I was able to successfully run a DPF regeneration as well as diagnose and fix another bus to get it out of a derate. It has most live data but can be confusing to find out exactly what you're looking for but it is possible with patience.

This scanner does what it should do,quick responsive and has all the data while performing dpf regen..I’m a automotive tech of 20pls yrs and it is very productive for my 2014 Freightliner m2 106,clear data etc..very good product I would stand behind as a tech…

Have cummins 2020 2017 epa showed engine check lights both got cleared with tool plug and play real easy. Hopefuly will keep working good. Also shows vehicle info in detail. And can clear other codes.

I love hard cases, and this ANCEL Protective Case is the perfect size to pack some very important hardware into it. It has numerous dividers and pockets within to keep your stored gear inside from jostling up against your other gear. One could always toss in a custom-cut rectangle of closed foam to further protect whatever it is you are storing in there and keep things even more tight and secure. One of my big challenges is keeping important things close-to-hand and organized, for the inevitable power failures that usually strike my area several times a year. Last year, for example, I was without power for five days straight in early Spring due to an ice storm. It is at these times that you are reaching – sometimes in the dark – for your accessory power packs and your flashlights and your headlamps and your portable rechargeable cordless mini desk lamps, all so you can carry on with the basic functions of life. There is nothing worse than not being able to find these very important and necessary items at the critical moment. Anything that’s of importance to me like these above-mentioned items,, I like to place in a position I would refer to as a “strong” place – that is, store these important items in a pride of place, a place that has some significance, rather than just a random drawer or in a box or what-have-you. Good luck finding things without a proper storage strategy, especially in an emergency. Therefore this hard ANCEL storage case, with its prodigious volume, will become the “strong” home for my very important flashlights and power pack accessories and related cables and charging bricks, and will be the first thing I will seek out when my power goes off. It’s the perfect size to store quite a variety of accessories and cords, keeping them out of the way, sorted and organized, until that critical moment comes when they are absolutely required. I think this case will serve that purpose admirably! Recommended! Especially for the organizationally challenged amongst us!

Design & Build Quality 🧰 The case uses a semi-rigid EVA shell, wrapped in a cloth-like outer layer. It feels tough enough to protect against knocks, and the hard top baffle provides some impact absorption. Inside, there are multiple compartments that keep accessories from bouncing around, which is a real benefit if you carry cables or adapters alongside the scanner. That said, the stitching is sloppy: many loose threads were sticking out and even snagging the zipper. I had to cut them off manually before the case would operate smoothly. The zipper itself looks like a splash-proof design but is actually a regular type, without any sealing or edge overlap - see pictures. It feels like cost-cutting on the most vulnerable part. Ease of Use ⚙️ The compartments are practical and make it easy to organize extra tools, but the zipper snagging on loose threads was frustrating right out of the box. Once trimmed, the zipper moves freely, but the initial experience undermines confidence in long-term durability. The size is well matched to the intended OBD2 scanners and gives some spare, and the shape makes it easy to slide into a backpack or car storage area. Performance in Real Life 🧪 For shelf storage or transport in a dry bag, the case works fine. The hard shell resists compression and keeps equipment from being crushed. The top side does a good job of dispersing impact, but the bottom has no extra padding — meaning if it lands on a hard surface, the shock will go straight into your scanner. Waterproofing is another weak point: while the shell itself repels water and is airtight, the zipper gap and non-rubberized edges will easily let moisture in, especially if the case is squeezed or pressed, drawing drops inside. That makes it unreliable outdoors if you expect rain or splashes. Notable Issues ⚠️ • Loose and untrimmed stitching, poor factory finishing. • Zipper design is misleading: it looks weather-sealed but is not. • Weak bottom protection leaves equipment exposed to drops. • Requires manual fixing (thread trimming) to work properly. Final Verdict 🔑 This case offers solid protection against scratches, compression, and dust, and the compartments are genuinely helpful for keeping cables in order. However, it is not a drop-proof or waterproof solution. Buyers should be cautious: it’s suitable for keeping sensitive tools safe on a shelf or while traveling in a bag, but not for outdoor use in wet environments or situations where it may be dropped. Worth considering if you mainly want tidy storage, but for true rugged protection, alternatives with sealed zippers and better padding are the safer choice.
