Q: How should these be stored after opening the package?

I just push the air out and fold the down down and add a clothes pin to keep the package closed.

Q: Do these mushrooms need to be cleaned before cooking them? Thanks.

Mushroom House Dried Mushrooms are much cleaner than any other dried mushroom I've used, but before cooking with any type of dried mushroom, I reconstitute/rehydrate them in hot water, then strain (and keep) the soaking liquid - as per the instructions in Bittman's "How To Cook Everything". Any odd bits don't make it into the food I serve to my family and friends.
