Frabill Thermal Outpost 2-3 Man Hub Shelter, 70 x 70 x 80-Inch

Fits the commando perfectly. Seems to be well made and the zipper opening is a huge bonus. Being able to put or take things out of the sled without taking the whole cover off is nice.

Finally popped for this cover when I saw a “used-very good” one in the Amazon Warehouse for $15. Arrived in like-new condition, even in mint packaging... yes, I scored! I was using a Frabill cover from my Frabill Trekker II on my Aegis 2250 and while it fit well, it wasn’t precise like this one. It fits perfectly. Just make sure to go easy as you stretch it over the corners. Don’t overstretch it because the elastic could break. Make sure you snug it up under the lip of the sled to avoid the cover making any direct contact with the ground while pulling the shelter. Great quality. It doesn’t include the yellow strap shown in pic so don’t expect it. FYI - I would have paid $45 for it and been very happy. If you have a 2-person Aegis it will fit like a glove!

Had to get a replacement for my first one. The elastic snapped and it won’t hold tight. Other than that, I really like this cover. It serves the purpose.

While you don't need this every time you go out with your shelter it is a great idea to have when you are pulling your shelter behind a vehicle. It did a good job of keeping snow and debris out. Look like it will hold up for awhile too. I would get another one.

I received this house in a timely manner, and everything about my dealings with Amazon was pleasurable. However, when I unpacked the house, and set it up, the poles were "pin-wheeled" out of the hubs, which caused the rods to block both doors. I contacted Frabill to see if there was anything that can be tweaked on the house to move the poles, and they acted like I was the biggest idiot they had ever talked to and said that they had never heard of such an issue. Needless to say, I will be returning this house and getting something else(Clam XL4000 Thermal). Good job Amazon, terrible customer service by Frabill. I will say, Frabill's sled style houses are excellent, and perhaps I just got a lemon. Regardless, it was enough to make me try a different brand.Edit - When I was carrying the bag from my living room to my truck(to return it), the seasms on the shoulder straps began tearing. I was carrying th house using both straps, as it should be carried. Also, I did buy a Clam. Considerably higher quality, and the bag that you put the house back into has a zipper so you fit the folded house back into the bag much easier than trying to stuff it in one end, as you have to with the Frabill house. From my experience of pulling out the Frabill house, setting it up(noticed faulty hub assemblies from Manufacturer), taking it down, and carrying it back to my truck, I have been extremely disappointed with the quality of the house, bag, and everything else that goes with it. Honestly, I am not loyal to any particular brands, but if you are looking at buying a hub style house, buy something other than Frabill. The hub assemblies on my new clam are exponentially better quality, and the anchor straps are very well designed. Hopefully someone finds this review helpful.

A Great quality product but it is a pita to assemble. a helper saves time for sure. This is the third one i've put together and it didn't get much easier. If you plan on installing the hyfax runner kit (which I highly recommend) DO THAT FIRST!! Much easier without the extra bulk of the tenting.

Design is clever, quality and fit are very good. Price was excellent. Be prepared to spend several hours for assembly. Just the manual lacks detail and procedure and is too brief. You have to figure some things out as you go, but it was worth it.

Nice little shelter, definitely not worth the $300 original price but for the $180 I paid on sale I think it was worth it. Went together easy, about an hour. only issue I have is the side windows don't fit worth a hoot, not cut to the proper angles. All and all a good shelter and would buy again when on sale.

Fits like a glove! My husband has the Frabill Bro series Flip over hut and couldn't find a cover for that specific model. Someone said the Aegis cover would work, and it does.

Do not recommend, bought this hutt and three days later I was walking with it I sat down to flip it over had a massive rip in the side just from walking approximately 3 km speed and then the next day I took it out for an evening fish went to light a smoke And open the window it ripped a good inch. I ended up returning it back to Amazon and they were excellent no problems at all it was free to return and gave money back.
