Why are these now almost 400 dollars when a few months ago they were only $130?

Since everyone is adding their 2 cents in the answers I guess I will join in. Firstly to the guy who said these are an example of socialism and that they were made using taxpayer dollars you don't seem to understand how military surpluses work. The government didn't make these using taxpayer dollars. A private company makes tons of these and sells them to various buyers including private citizens, emergency response agencies, charities that feed people across the world and yes the US military. That isn't socialism that is capitalism. And yes MREs and LOTS of other products increase in price when COVID hit. You can blame the seller or you can blame the ding dongs hoarding and buying stuff at double the price.

Should the pack date start with a 7 if the inspection date is in 2020?

Yes that is correct. we are looking at the pictures and they seem to be 2016 pack date and 2020 inspection, which is odd. This is not our listing and we have no control over the pictures on the listing. Our MREs will have a 2017 pack date that will reflect on the case with a Julian date starting with a "7"

Hi. What is the difference between case A and case B?

Looking at mre expiration, pack and inspection dates, an mre has a 5-7 year max shelf life from pack date, that means these have expired?

The pack date was 2017, which means they are good until at least the end of this year or at the most until 2024.
