So oil typically has some sort of viscosity to it but this is very watery. I normally use 3-4 drops of oil but one pump of this is plenty. It spreads on smoothly and feels great on the skin. Absorbs well, doesn't clog pores.

I have been hearing buzz about how good the Colleen Rothschild skincare products are, so I was very eager to try this Retinol Supreme Night Oil. My skin can be a bit funny- I can easily handle retinaldehyde (strong), but the vast majority of retinol lotions bother my skin, or have to be eased into very slowly, or must be encapsulated retinol for my skin to tolerate. The one time I tried a retinol that was combined with Vitamin C my skin reacted horribly. I have also tried other retinol "night" oils. While I was hoping that an oil delivery system would be gentle with those other products, they were not. I have to say the Colleen Rothschild Retinol Night Oil acts very, very differently, thank goodness! I have been able to apply this oil nightly without any skin reactions or irritation. The oil is lightly scented and smells really delightful, and it smooths onto my skin readily. In fact, I know I'm using more than they suggest, but my dehydrated skin just absorbs everything I put on it so quickly that I find it impossible to spread 4 drops around my face, let alone neck and chest. Retinol takes months to show an effect, so I can not rate the effectiveness of this night oil yet, but I can attest to it being extremely gentle on my skin, and I love the feeling of the oil on it, as it seems to be more of a dry oil than an oily oil, if that makes any sense at all. I did knock a star off from the rating, and this was due to the price point of it, and the fact that there isn't much of a mention on the box about the % of the retinol, or if it is encapsulated, etc. Many consumers like to know these things before trying or before switching brands, and there is just no mention that I could see on the box. I'm also not convinced that Vitamin C needed to be included in this formulation, as it is intended to be used at night, not during the day. However, I took the bullet and tested it for you first- if my finicky skin can easily tolerate this, yours probably can too. Overall, this is definitely the best retinol oil that I have tried so far.

this is a really great product! i feel like i may have heard of this brand before but i can't recall, but i do know that i have not tried anything from them in the past. retinol and vitamin c are both things that i should really use more of in my skincare routine, so it was nice to get to try a product that has both. i was a little nervous that my somewhat sensitive skin would be bothered by this, but it has been perfectly fine. in fact, i love the way my skin looks and feels when using this product.

This pretty pink nightly retinol oil from Colleen Rothschild is gentle and doesn’t irritate or dry my skin. The ingredients include a long list of botanical oils, and while it is oily, it isn’t overly greasy or uncomfortable on my face. I haven’t noticed a significant lightening of my sun spots yet, but I’m hoping to see more of an effect with continued use.

Excellent boosting retinol oil by Colleen Rothschild! I wake to absolutely glowing skin! My new favorite oil for my nighttime routine. Love the retinol and vitamin c combo in this formula. Not heavy on my skin at all and absorbs wonderfully. I use this after my serums and before my moisturizer. My skin looks so bright and even complexion since using this. I"m hooked!

COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD Retinol Supreme Night OilI have mature skin (60 yo) and need a lot of moisturizing, especially when I'm using retin-type ingredients, that tend to be drying. This has become my go-to night time serum because the oils help counteract the drying and I wake up with moisturized skin, not flakes. The oils may be too much for a younger skin that's still producing a lot of oil... but it's great for me.PROS:- The two active ingredients (Hydrogenated Retinol and Vitamin C) known to be good for skin. I fed this into a skincare ingredients analyzer and all the ingredients came out a "Good". Those two are #3 and #4 on the ingredients list... so there should be a good amount of them in the bottle.- Love all the oils that are in this. As the retin dries my skin, these oils counteract that and I wake up in the morning with plump, hydrated skin.- Nice pump that keeps bacteria from getting to the product- Pretty colorCONS:- Pricey- I wish they listed the percentage of active ingredient we're actually paying for. But they are listed early on the ingredients list, so that's good.- Contains a small amount of perfume. Perfume doesn't belong on my face and can only irritate it.

Colleen Rothschild's Retinol Supreme Night Oil is very hydrating and contains all the good ingredients of Retinol (Vitamin A), THD Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Cotton Sead Oil, and Astaxanthin. Collen Rothschild's skincare products have been around for many years and are made in the USA. This is a night oil and the bottle pumps out the correct amount that I massaged into my face just before I went to bed. I woke up with my face feeling very soft and smooth. While a bit pricey, you only need a few drops a night. Should last a long time. I have tried other retinol products, and this one has had the most softening results for me.
