Stylish and modern composter
I decided to buy this composter after seeing it in my friend’s house and being really impressed with how compact and convenient it was. After using it for couple a days, I’m genuinely pleased with the purchase. It fits perfectly on my countertop, and the grey colour matches my kitchen units so well that it almost looks like it was made to be part of the set. The machine itself is easy to use, surprisingly quiet, and does a great job breaking down food scraps. I’ve noticed a big reduction in the amount of waste going into my bin, and there’s no unpleasant smell at all. The cleaning mode is also a nice bonus and keeps everything fresh without much effort from me. Overall, it’s been a great addition to my kitchen — practical, tidy, and stylish. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone considering a home composter.

Please read this and do NOT purchase
I bought this composter three months ago and followed all the instructions to the letter. Only added the correct food as per the manual, chopped it up into little pieces and cleaner regularly. I was so happy with it until it just stopped spinning and grinding the compost. So now it will dehydrate stuff but not break it down at all. Once you purchase there is no way to contact the seller for a replacement and I wish I'd read the reviews more thoroughly before purchasing as multiple other people have had this exact same issue. Purchase from a seller with a sign posted warranty and make sure you can contact them if anything goes wrong otherwise you're literally throwing away money. I'm so disappointed in this, worst purchase of 2025.

Good little waste reducer
The Nutrichef three-litre unit has taken up residence on my kitchen counter like a polite, pint-sized R2-D2, quietly turning peelings, coffee grounds and yesterday’s crusts into dry, earthy crumbs. A single four-hour cycle dries the scraps, grinds them to bits, then cools everything down. Thanks to the charcoal filter, nearly all odours stay where they belong, though one stray kipper skin did manage to perfume the house and remind everyone we supposedly live by the sea, despite being 120 miles inland in Yorkshire. Operating it could not be simpler. Tap the lone button once and off it goes, although the row of glowing icons can feel a touch cryptic until you learn their little language. Capacity is about right for two people or a modest flat-share; a full Sunday roast’s remains usually demand a second run. Build quality inspires confidence, with chunky ABS plastic and a removable bucket that shrugs off the dishwasher without warping. In day-to-day use it hums softly in the background, cuts our black-bag rubbish by roughly half and looks perfectly smart beside the kettle. For a bit of kit that turns kitchen scraps into plant food while I am watching Match of the Day, the price feels entirely fair.

I'm going to vomit
I tried to make pre-compost from coffee grounds, breadcrumbs, and a small amount of fish. For the first hour, the unit exuded a smell of roasting breadcrumbs. I went away for a couple of hours. When I came back, the entire house was stinking of rotten fish. Every single room. The filter was new of course, and I removed the labels and followed all instructions. The rubber seals were present and intact. Despite that, the filter clearly didn't work. I ended up with nausea, a headache, and a running nose. The instruction manual claims fish is appropriate for the composter. It wasn't salmon, or smoked haddock, or pilchards or anything like that. It was cod. And it was a forkful. Less than a tablespoon. And it was only a few hours old at the time. I have ovened and air fried entire fillets of cod hundreds of times in my life. I've even burnt fish in the oven, and I've still never smelt something as horrible as what this supposedly filtered composter produced. The instruction manual claims that it has an ozone generator. The unit I received either doesn't have one or it's faulty. I had to use my industrial ozone generator to remove the fish stink, treating one room of the house at a time. The filter change light switched on immediately after the first and only time I used it, instead of in 6 months. The filter light reset function fails to work, so there's at least one electronic fault. If the instruction manual didn't lie about the ozone generator, there are at least two distinct electronic faults. After using it once, the filter stinks of rotten fish.

Amazing. Great addition
This is actually brilliant. A very good capacity and a machine that does all the work for you while maintaining hygiene and feshness. Couldn't be easier to use. It's good to go straight from the box and does an ace job. The seals are very good and there is absolutely no odour thanks to the filter included. Keeps the kitchen smell free and actuallyooks really nice at the same time. It works really quietly too. Just automaticay churns away doing the job for you. Excellent.

Weird fault occurred and no troubleshooting tips available
appears to have developed a fault - I've used it once a week for 6 months. When it works, it is great!

Easy, simple way to turn food waste into (pre)compost
I'm loving this machine so far. It's been in use for around a month. There have been no issues. It does what it claims to do and at a competitive price, given the competition. It takes its time (around 4 hours). I hope it lasts.

Very useful for kitchen
This Nutrichef composter is an absolute game-changer for my small apartment kitchen. It's incredibly efficient at quickly drying and breaking down all my fruit and vegetable scraps. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is during its cycles, making it unobtrusive. The self-cleaning mode is a fantastic feature that makes maintenance a breeze. It has significantly reduced my food waste and the odor in my kitchen is completely gone. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to start composting easily.
