A little noisy
I wasn't sure what to expect with this, but I managed to install it around my Nissan Leaf (2022) center console area without any issues and it almost looks like a stock feature of the car, now. Pictures always show the light going across the front doors, but I genuinely have no clue how that could be accomplished since the door still has to open. I thought maybe there would be some way to split apart segments of the EL wire, but nothing is supplied to aid in doing that. As far as I can tell, you just get one contiguous segment of EL wire that you string along, letting panel gaps hold it in place (there's a plastic 'fin' side that can be pushed into gaps while the glowing wire part sticks out) and once you reach a dead end where you can't keep finding sensible places to insert it into, you snip off the rest and toss it. I notice a pretty strong 'whine' when this is turned on initially, but it seemed to settle down a little when I snipped off the extra length. (leaving it around maybe 10 feet) Brightness is okay, really isn't going to show in bright daylight very well but it's not going to distract too much at night. It might have been nice to have some controls on the little in-line box thing that could adjust brightness or turn it off. A plastic tool is provided for install, but I found it pretty much useless. You really need something much stronger to get into those tricky panels where a pry tool is needed to pull it apart. If there's some technique to help with this, no instructions were included so you're on your own as far as that goes. I guess the tool is meant more for holding panels apart once you've pried them open a bit, but only a few panels on my car were the right shape to allow that. I made use of a metal pry tool to spread apart trickier panels and get the wire in there, which worked well. It takes some fiddling, but even without any kind of adhesive or permanent install, I think it's pretty securely in place except for a few areas.

Okay
Good if you know a little about wiring and have time to spend running the lights!

A fun accent
This light strip is fantastic! I wanted to add a bit of lights but didn’t want them to be too bright/distracting these fit the bill. They look great and during the day the pop of red is a nice accent. Easy to install I used a bit of double back tape to keep it where I wanted it in a few places

Product is not worth buying. No Good!
Made one 45 degree bend during mock install and it quit working. Figured for $8 it would be minimal but worthy risk. I was correct. Product no good.
