Attempting to make Montessori more accessible
This is a practical resource for parents who want to use Montessori teaching techniques and materials as they homeschool. However, what I found missing was the essential Montessori i ingredient of choice within the Montessori prepared environment. This seemed more like a presentation of traditional adult-led teaching using a Montessori curriculum. There is little emphasis on the development of the child's independence and sense of mastery. Also, books and articles that I have had the opportunity to read DISCOURAGE parents whose children attend a Montessori school from using the same materials at home as those that are used at school. This is to prevent the child from losing interest in the special teaching materials used in the classroom setting. Another problem was over-reliance on home prepared materials. This can result in the reduction of the three-dimensional approach using beautiful materials so important to Montessori education. Parents with like minds can pool their resources to provide authentic materials, hold fund raisers or engage in other creative activities to procure the highest level of materials. Despite its flaws, this book still deserves 4 stars, as the author attempts to make Montessori more accessible.

Great content
Some books on subjects are just reworks of reworks. This had some insightful and immediately useful content. Lots of ideas to explore with the children. Application to all age ranges.

One of my favorite Montessori books
This book is amazing. It has been one of my guide books since I started to follow the Montessori Philosophy with my girls.I love that has all (from what is the Montessori Philosophy to lots of activities divided by age) explained in a way that we all can understand easily. It also comes with a guide of what Montessori materials it’s worth it to buy it.I can not recommend enough.

Practical guide for good parenting!
Written in a very good format. Very easy to understand, especially with all the real-life examples. Very easy to relate. Basically, a very good practical guide for good parenting. The author has a very good disposition on the book, makes it very understandably for someone who has no behavior science background. Strongly recommend it!Applying this to a child demands a bit of patience from the parent’s side, but you will have a genius for a child without a doubt!

Practical advice
Easy to read and practical. The author is sympathetic with parents. She balances the ideals of applying Montessori 100% of the time using 100% Montessori toys with practical limitations of time and money. Doing so she cuts through to the core of the teachings

Paper version has black and white images
I live the book the only problem is that the paper version had black and white images which makes it hard to fully understand the activities. The Kindle has colour images though like the preview.

Absolutely fantastic, 10,000% recommend!
This book did EXACTLY what I've been searching for as a part time working mum of 2. Really practical ideas (which a not creative person like me can grasp instantly) to dive into Montessori. A bit of theory explained as you go, but predominantly what to actually DO! Which I found so helpful. I honestly couldn't recommend this enough if you want to try Montessori at home and need a really practical place to start.
