Worth a go and birds love them!
The media could not be loaded. Took a punt on these as reviews were mixed, glad I did, they are well worth the money and I am pleased to say appearance none broken at all, nice size, in individual bags of 6, even better so longevity should last really well. Well weather very hot but still all good, put out Sunday 4 fat balls and the birds were on them so fast I had to replace today and again birds loving them. Worth getting, well packaged ratio meat/seed content looks good but still able to crumble up if the balls if you want.

Quality fat balls
Well, the reviews said it was good and my word the Bucktons fat balls are great. The birds love them. No wonder they come on a big box. My birds are getting through 3 per day (2 on the bird table and 1 in the hanging feeder). Up until now I wasn’t convinced that birds were interested in them at all. My previous purchase was from a good quality garden centre and I’ve still got them. I suppose I’d better throw them away.If you want fat balls that birds will eat buy these.By the way mine were delivered without any damage at all. They come in cellophane packs of 6 in a strong cardboard box.Update. These fat balls are a beast. I am using on average 6 balls a day now (9th June) I’ve only got 5 packs left that’s 30 put of 150. Time to reorder.

Great value, a bit too crumbly
It’s a great value products and birds like it. I found balls a bit too crumbly. Packs in six balls - convenient, yet more plastic than I’d like to see. Less plastic and better texture and it would be five stars. Will buy again as the affordable cost is important for me and my busy bird garden.

Regular buy – birds love them and so do I!
Birds Absolutely Love Them – Great Value and QualityI’ve bought these several times now and they never disappoint. The birds go mad for them – especially the robins, tits, and starlings. They’re a good size, not too crumbly, and hold up well in the feeder even in wet weather. It’s a brilliant bulk buy that keeps the garden visitors happy without costing a fortune. I’ve tried cheaper ones in the past, but nothing attracts the birds like Bucktons.Highly recommend if you enjoy seeing your garden come to life with bird activity.

Birds love them but the box is vulnerable to crushing
I've bought this item several times and the birds love them - starlings, sparrows, magpies, jackdaws, blue tits in particular. Sadly, although the cardboard box looks solid enough, it's vulnerable to being crushed in transit, so the contents can end up being a crumbly mess. I know others have complained about the use of plastic for the inner packets of 6 balls, but they do make storage and refilling the feeders that much easier. Texture-wise, these balls react to temperature as you'd expect - they are a tad on the soft side in the UK's heatwave, and can seem like stone on a winter's day but the birds get on with them regardless.
