I fixed my MacBook 2017 with this battery replacement kit! I followed the instructions carefully! Now my battery is super healthy. I think it can run for another 5 years. Haha.

The instructions were OK but a YouTube video is better. Difficult job, but here are a few tips: use the thin splunger to get started ungluing the batteries. Then use the wide one to slowly cut through the original foam sticker ring. when you get them all to release and can remove the battery, and now you will need to clean up the residue. I started with goo gone on a cotton ball the get the black foam to release and scraped it away. I followed up with parts cleaner on cotton to melt the remaining clear glue and wiped it clean. Let it dry and you are ready for install. Good luck!

So I just finished installing this in my 2015 MacBook, and my computer not only starts properly, but no longer needs to be plugged in constantly! I don’t know long this battery will last, but changing it out gave me the confidence to know that I will be able to do it again if it craps out before the computer. The included tool kit had exactly what I needed to do it, and it wasn’t the hardest thing to do either. It did not have rubbing alcohol though, but that is understandable. I didn’t have a small bottle to apply rubbing alcohol, so I used Q-tips. After I gently removed the old battery, I kept on applying rubbing alcohol to the old glue to make it easier to remove. Once that was done, the rest was easy. The hardest part was replacing the keyboard cable that I broke at the very end of the battery install.

Everything packaged nicely and looked good. Took me about 4-6 weeks before I could make the time to install it, so I’m past the warranty period to return to Amazon. I did a meticulous job on the installation which took a good 4-5 hours including finding good video instructions on YouTube (and most of them aren’t good). Everything seemed to work fine. The only problem is that the battery won’t hold a charge at all! I can use it while plugged in. If it’s fully charged to 100%, and I turn the computer off and let it sit for any amount of time the battery drains completely. I can’t even start it up the very next morning for Example. Stay away from this seller. Apparently they’re selling dead batteries!

I've replaced Macbook batteries before, and it's always a struggle. The only issue I had with this was the fitting was "slightly" off so some parts were a little cramp. Took a while to set up the new battery, but it holds the charge well. Not as well as OEM, but enough for my usage. Considering the price comparison, I think it's worth it if you put in the work.

It fits my macbook. The install is a little unnerving due the nature of what's being done, but the products fits well.
