We'e tried four different matcha this past month
This matcha is darn good. Very very little bitterness without milk. We use unsweetened almond milk (will NOT spike blood sugar), only three ingredients: water, almond and sea salt. A fattier milk like Oat (oat milk will absolutley spike your blood sugar) or Dairy would taste best due to the creaminess but we cannot have dairy. 1 teaspoon Maison matcha sifted in a fine stainless strainer. One tablespoon room temp water (been sitting out all night to get rid of Clorine. Mix well until thick paste, creamy and zero clumps. add two tablespoons 160-170 degree almond milk and whip with a bamboo whisk or an electric milk frother. Both work just a well but the electric is faster, less effort and easy to clean. Sometimes we add 4-6 drops of raw honey as it has probiotics. We do not use any processed sugars period as it feeds the bad microbiome in your stomach and frankly, we do not trust the sugar substitutes at all. The Costco Matcha is total barf. Good for cooking. Matcha pancakes, matcha cupcakes etc. MAISON MATCHA: slight bamboo taste, very creamy, it has a soft foamy texture of cream on its own, amazing vibrante color, no clumps even without a strainer. Aroma is like an open field of fresh air. A hint of natural sweetness. we will order this brand again. we do wish it came with a tin...the can is SOOOO Japanese instead of a foil pouch

Honest review
My thoughts: Aroma: vegetal, spinach Color: bright green upon opening, but did seem to lose its color quickly. Froth: very frothy microfoam Usucha: light umami, vegetal, mild astringency with a clean finish Latte: my personal recommended way to drink* color holds well, flavor lingers with unflavored milk but gets lost with vanilla or creamier bases. It does offer a creamy smoothness from the froth. Good for a day you just want a savory style matcha. Would pair great with a savory breakfast. Americano: oceanic- seaweed notes, smooth, and refreshing. I think a matcha tonic would be a fantastic take. Overall thoughts: good price point at 80g for just under $55 (~$0.68/g). Personally, I find it shines most in lattes as the creaminess and froth really stand out, or would make for a tasty matcha tonic.

Amazing Affordable Matcha
Trying out Maison Matcha was an absolute honor, and I absolutely loved their product. When opening the bag at first, it had a beautiful umami smell, and the color was bright green; the outlook was truly authentic. The packaging, as well, is really well designed, and everything was easy to open. The overall taste of the matcha was delicious and tasted high quality, it really felt like I flew all the way to Japan and drank it there. The consistency of the powder was smooth and was a super easy whisk in the bowl. For the price, it was amazing. Adding to the taste, it has a slightly bitter taste in the beginning, but that is great because it makes it a great matcha powder when wanting to make a latte!

A flavorful and versatile option for lattes!
I drink A LOT of matcha, so I was excited to try a brand that’s easily accessible on Amazon. With a bright, jade green powder, it’s the color you’d expect from a highly quality organic matcha. It’s got an earthy and umami aroma (reminds me a little of chocolate), very blend-able with a creamy and smooth texture, froths well and boasts mild bitterness and little astringency. It has medium bodied umami notes and needs no additional sweetener as far as I’m concerned.

A Must Try Grassroots Matcha brand
I first heard about Maison Matcha out of all the places, when I was visiting Vietnam. I decided to try it and ordered it on amazon when I returned to America. Since Maison Matcha is 100% pure ceremonial grade, it is more on the pricey side of matcha. But it's worth every penny and in the long run you'll end up saving money. The powder was pure, rich, creamy both in taste as well as color. The powder color is a beautiful bright green color. I use the powder to make an iced matcha latte with brown sugar and oat milk. With 1 bag, I can make up to about 40 lattes depending on how strong I want my latte to be. I highly recommend giving this grassroots Matcha company and brand a try!

Great everyday matcha - perfect for beginners!
This matcha is super approachable and would be perfect for anyone just getting into matcha. It’s light, not too earthy, and blends beautifully into lattes. I’ve been using it as an everyday go-to—mellow, smooth, and really easy to enjoy. I tried this matcha in a few different recipes and it worked really well across the board. I made a Trader Joe’s bourbon vanilla latte, one with coconut water, orange jam latte, and a classic hot matcha latte—each one turned out super smooth and easy to drink.

great daily matcha powder
Great everyday matcha! With matcha being harder to find, this will definitely by one of my go-to staples for daily matcha lattes. Bright green color, slight nutty taste, and no bitter aftertaste.
